unstar this property answer text <p>Common Purpose has not been used by the RAF or the Royal Navy to train officers between 2010 and 2014. One Army Officer attended the Common Purpose CSC Leaders Global Leadership Programme in 2014, at a cost of £6,000.<br><br>Some individuals may have undertaken training with this company during their resettlement period. However, the comprehensive leadership skills and qualifications attained in the Armed Forces means that such training is rarely considered necessary.<br><br>Confirming this would require manually checking all service leavers’ Joint Personnel Administration records to identify, retrieve and collate the details. This information could only be provided at disproportionate cost.</p> more like this

Friend Phillip Dunne announced that the Minister for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans (Anna Soubry) would meet Gareth Thomas MP, the Association of British Credit Unions Ltd, and others to discuss this issue.<br><br>Arrangements for such a meeting have now been agreed and the Minister is due to meet with interested parties later this month. unstar this property answer text <p>Claims for damages brought against the Ministry of Defence are not recorded in a manner that enables the specific regiment or unit of a claimant to be identified without incurring disproportionate cost. 10,148 such claims have been received in the last six years from current and former Service personnel serving in Northern Ireland. Around 7,500 such claims have been successful to date, and the total value of compensation paid as a result has been around £62.3 million.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Section 10 of the Crown Proceedings Act 1947 prevented service personnel, including former members of the Ulster Defence Regiment, from suing the Crown for alleged negligence which occurred before that section was repealed in 1987. The repeal was not retrospective. Depending on their level of hearing loss, they may, however, be eligible for a War Disablement Pension.</p> more like this
