	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/09/2022 answer text <p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s Arm's Length Body, Arts Council England (ACE), via its National Lottery Project Grants funding has supported a wide range of organisations and events focused on engaging with and celebrating South Asian Heritage, including supporting the South Asian Heritage Trust, which delivers their annual South Asian Heritage Month observance.</p><p>South Asian Heritage Month was established in 2020. Since then, ACE awarded a £20,175 National Lottery Project Grant to the South Asian Heritage Trust for their South Asian Heritage Month Online Programme in May 2022. Additionally, ACE awarded £41,700 to 'Tribe Arts' in July 2022 as part of a project to establish partnerships with South Asian Heritage Month.</p><p>Significant projects have also been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund between 2003- 2021, in the London Borough of Harrow, with a total investment of £178,732 which explored and celebrated the South Asian community.</p><p>Current projects supported by Historic England are celebrating South Asian Places of Worship through thematic listing and research, and two projects have been awarded through their Everyday Heritage programme to the Bengali Photography Archive and the Sikh Development Academy.</p> answering member constituency Pudsey answering member printed Stuart Andrew question first answered 22/09/2022 15:07:24 answering member 4032 label Biography information for Stuart Andrew

As part of this, we expect sports organisations and major sporting events to do all they can to ensure autistic spectators have the best possible experience.</p><p>In 2016, the Premier League, alongside The Shippey Campaign and The Lord’s Taverners, launched a programme to fund sensory rooms in 20 top-flight clubs. These provide a more comfortable and appropriate environment for autistic children to watch football matches. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/09/2022 answer text <p>The Charity Commission opened a statutory inquiry into The Collegiate Charitable Trust in 2018. It is considering regulatory issues relating to the administration of the charity by the trustees.</p><p>Due to the nature of the concerns, interim managers were appointed to manage the charity. The timeframe of the inquiry depends on the interim manager’s findings and any other regulatory action which may be required. Neither the government nor the Charity Commission is able to provide further information on the inquiry until it has concluded.</p><p>While DCMS is the Charity Commission’s sponsor department, the Commission is an independent regulator and not subject to ministerial direction or control. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/09/2022 answer text <p>The Government strongly supports the co-operative sector and social businesses’ contribution to society and the economy. Co-operatives and mutuals contribute to the diversity and resilience of the economy with their democratic structure, their emphasis on the long-term interests of their members and their local focus and commitment. Social businesses create jobs for those excluded from the labour market, directly address social challenges and build social capital within communities.</p><p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport works with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and other relevant departments to ensure that government policy helps cooperatives and social businesses to grow and flourish.</p><p>The Government has cut the red tape facing the sector through the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and subsequent regulations. More recently, the government has reaffirmed our commitment to the sector through the £150 million community ownership fund, which supports co-operatives and community-owned businesses to take over valuable and viable local assets at risk of closure.</p><p>DCMS’s support for social businesses includes:</p><ul><li><p>£485 million of dormant assets funding that has been allocated to social investment, which to date has supported thousands of charities and social enterprises across England to grow their impact and scale their operations</p></li><li><p>developing the Social Value Model, in partnership with Cabinet Office - requiring social value to be evaluated in all central government procurement</p></li><li><p>launching the VCSE Contract Readiness Fund - inviting bids to enable VCSE organisations to compete alongside other organisations and increase their participation in public service procurement</p></li></ul><p>Work is also underway on plans to meet the following commitment from the Levelling Up White Paper:</p><p>“The UK Government will consider how best to encourage social organisations and entrepreneurship to flourish in left-behind places across the UK, building on and augmenting existing support, generating evidence on what social enterprises need to do to thrive in disadvantaged places, and encouraging the next generation of social entrepreneurs.”</p><p> </p> answering member constituency Pudsey answering member printed Stuart Andrew question first answered 23/09/2022 13:24:44 answering member 4032 label Biography information for Stuart Andrew

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/09/2022 answer text <p>As households and communities face rising energy prices, charities are seeing increased demand for their services while contending with the same price increases themselves.</p><p>With government support, charities have shown significant resilience over the past two years, and will again be crucial in supporting communities and households over the winter.</p><p>That is why the government will support all charities, public sector organisations and businesses with their energy costs this winter, offering an energy price guarantee for six months, equivalent to the protection offered to British households. Further details will be announced in due course.</p><p>Following the increases in July 2020 and the review of their impact published in March 2022, there are no plans to make further policy changes to society lottery sales and prize limits. Only export licences under UK legislation will be needed.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>The existing statutory guidance will be amended. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>The wrecks in question – the SMS Kronprinz Wilhelm, SMS Konig, SMS Markgraf and SMS Karlsruhe – lie within Scapa Flow, Orkney. They are protected as scheduled monuments under the terms of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979. Designation of scheduled monuments is a devolved matter for the Scottish Government and it has given responsibility for this to Historic Environment Scotland.</p><p> </p><p>Many scheduled monuments are owned privately and their ownership can change. This does not change their protected status. The proposed sale of the wrecks by their current owner does not change the fact that they are scheduled monuments. Permission to undertake works to the Scapa Flow wrecks will continue to require the prior written consent of Historic Environment Scotland.</p><p> </p><p>Historic Environment Scotland and the Scottish Government is considering changing the designation of the wrecks from scheduled monuments to a Historic Marine Protected Area, a designation which was introduced in Scotland by the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010. A public consultation about this proposal has recently taken place and the results will be published soon. VB sit on the Coastal Tourism Leadership Forum (run by the National Coastal Tourism Academy), helping to shape the Coastal Visitor Economy Vision and Action Plan. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>VisitEngland administer the £40m Discover England Fund which has helped to develop a number of tourism products which celebrate our coastal communities, such as England’s Seafood Coast, the Garden Gourmet Trails of England and England’s Coast.</p><p> </p><p>My colleagues in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government also provide support and funding to coastal areas through the Coastal Communities Fund and the Coastal Revival Fund, much of which has a tourism focus. They have also set up Coastal Community Teams around the country to support the development of the coastal economy.
