star this property answer text <p>Once the Immigration Rules have been laid in Spring 2024, only those occupations on the Health and Care Visa and on education national payscales will be exempt.</p><p> </p><p>Until then, the current salary thresholds remain in place at the current levels. Those already in the Skilled work route, and applications made before the rules change, will not be subject to the new £38,700 salary threshold when they change employment, extend, or settle.</p><p> </p><p>Full details of transitional provisions will be set out when further policy details will be announced.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government expanded the Seasonal Worker route to include the poultry sector on 18 October. This enables workers to come to the UK in the run up to Christmas to support the sector during the busy festive period.</p><p>The route has been extended until 2024, with 40,000 visas available for 2022, consisting of 38,000 for horticulture and 2,000 for the poultry sector. This will support our farmers as they adapt to changes in the UK labour market. The Government is keeping the position under close review.</p><p>Many roles in the poultry sector can also be recruited through the Skilled Worker route.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The offshore wind farm worker concession was extended earlier this year on 2 July until 1 July 2022, to allow foreign nationals to work in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind projects in UK territorial waters.</p><p>The Government is committed to promoting job opportunities for local labour and will always encourage employers to look to the domestic workforce first.</p><p>We regularly review all concessions and will be considering the future of this concession and its place in the wider immigration system ahead of it expiring in July.</p> more like this
