The Mayor of London has devolved responsibility for producing an integrated spatial
strategy for London, known as the London Plan, which includes setting policies for
land use (including industrial land and floor space). The latest draft London Plan
was published for consultation in 2017 and includes proposals to increase the amount
of industrial land and floor space in boroughs where there is a known future demand.
