answer text
HS2 Ltd are currently leading the procurement of a Master Development Partner (MDP) for Euston on behalf of the Department for Transport and Network Rail. The MDP will provide design, planning and development services to optimise and develop the over site development (OSD) potential at, and around, the Euston station site. The MDP’s remit includes commercial, office and retail opportunities which will be influenced by the maturing HS2 station design, future proposals for the Network Rail station and constraints on the site such as viewing corridors. The Secretary of State for Transport aims to appoint the MDP in 2018. Development plans are at an early stage, but planning proposals and consultation will be brought forward with the local community and the London Borough of Camden in due course.

Work to date indicates that there is an estimated 2.5m square feet of developable area above the HS2 Euston station and approach tracks. HS2 Ltd has not yet finalised how much space it intends for office accommodation for HS2 operations.

The measures include registration, leisure pilot test and new police powers.

The Department for Transport supports the CAA in carrying out its Dronecode safety awareness campaign. The CAA is leading a special Christmas effort with retailers and other drone industry stakeholders to remind any new drone owners of the rules. Buyers of drones this Christmas should buy from a Dronesafe approved retailer, who will provide info on safety rules at point of sale, and log onto www.dronesafe.uk to learn more.
more like this

answer text
CDC invests in the poorest countries in Africa and South Asia to support the growth of companies that create employment, help transform economies, and improve people’s lives, through the goods and services they produce and the local taxes they generate. In 2019, the businesses into which CDC is invested employed 875,790 people; sourced from 1.84 million farmers; and paid $3.3 billion in local taxes.

As part of its ODA prioritisation process, the Government looked across its ODA programming including CDC. We are investing significantly less capital into CDC than originally planned at the start of the year. Funding will be focused on ensuring that CDC continues to take a targeted response that preserves, strengthens and helps rebuild economies across Africa and South Asia to mitigate the economic and health impacts of Covid-19. Funding originally earmarked for CDC will be re-purposed to ensure we can continue to focus on delivering for the bottom billion including by prioritising girls’ education, climate change, essential health, sexual and reproductive health rights, while also responding to Covid-19.
