Of these, 14 affirmative SIs had been laid in draft over the same period and one draft was withdrawn and replaced with two SIs: one under the affirmative procedure (SI 1954) and another using the negative procedure (SI 1711). In this period there was also one negative SI made (SI 1621) to clarify a regulation included in an earlier SI made (SI 1386) but not yet in force.</p><p> </p><p>The Department, with its Legal Service teams in the Treasury Solicitors Office (TSOL), is taking steps to mitigate the need for correcting instruments through training and support to build capability, sharing best practice and learning from internal review and reports from the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments and the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee. Information published by the Office for National Statistics suggests zero-hours contracts make up a relatively small part of the overall labour market, accounting for about 2% of all people in work.</p><p> </p><p>Jobseekers claiming Jobseekers Allowance are not required to apply for zero-hours contract vacancies, they will not be sanctioned as a result of not applying. UC claimants who refuse to accept a zero hours contract job offer, without good reason, can be subject to a sanction. However a UC claimant will not be sanctioned for refusing to take a zero hours contract with an exclusivity clause.</p><p> </p><p>Universal Credit automatically adjusts benefit payments depending on the number of hours a person works – whatever the type of contract. Where Universal Credit claimants refuse to apply for role, including a Zero Hours Contract role when mandated to do so or refuse to accept a job offer, they can be sanctioned. People on Universal Credit will not be required to sign up to zero hours contracts which require exclusivity, so they will always have the opportunity to gain more hours elsewhere.</p><p> </p> question first answered 01/09/2014 16:26:41

The purpose of the test bed was to examine on a small scale which areas would be viable design options for the Supervised Job-search pilots to be introduced later this year.</p><p> </p><p>In overall terms the success of the test bed confirmed that a protracted supervised job-search could be delivered with the long term unemployed client group. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction answer text <p>The Government has taken significant action to increase bank lending to smaller businesses, such as through the Funding for Lending Scheme, and through supporting non-bank lending channels via the British Business Bank.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In Autumn 2013 a joint United Kingdom and Northern Ireland Ministerial Task Force was set up to look at ways to promote lending and increase support for businesses in Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government is also implementing further major reforms to boost competition in the provision of smaller business finance through the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill; these measures intend to improve access to SME Credit Information and to match SMEs rejected for SME finance with challenger banks and alternative finance providers that are looking to offer finance.</p><p> </p> question first answered 22/10/2014 15:21:56

Fares set by TransPennine Express have not changed since January 2014.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>There have been no recent changes to the Northern Rail fleet.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>From 8 September, Northern introduced an evening peak period for the main cities during which off-peak tickets cannot be used. This will have no impact for season ticket holders.
