The two recent tragic incidents involved the different 737 MAX aircraft generation. It would not be appropriate to speculate on these accidents until the competent regulatory bodies have issued their formal reports.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>When former Locally Employed Staff (LES) are relocated to the UK, we provide funding for four months of support by the Local Authority through a contracted support provider. These support providers offer assistance to the former LES in areas such as familiarisation with their new location and setting up their new home; finding school or nursery places for children; access to English language lessons, including women only classes, and courses to assist the former LES in finding employment. After the four month point, care and support properly become the responsibility of the local government and healthcare providers.</p><p>We receive reports from Local Authorities on how successfully former LES have settled at the four month point. We cannot legitimately track former LES beyond this point. But, in the cases of severely disabled former LES, we have worked with Local Authorities, the care providers and a Service Charity (Help 4 Heroes) to facilitate additional charitable support.</p> more like this

Such a case was brought to our attention in 2013 and UK officials raised the issue with the US Department of Defense at the time. unstar this property answer text <p>The correct terminology is &quot;consolatory&quot; awards or payments, which are made in accordance with pan-Government Principles for Managing Public Money. The value of compensation/consolatory payments are determined by reference, as appropriate, to external benchmarks such as the Vento Scale (as used by the Employment Tribunal Service), and informed by legal advice.</p><p>The Army Service Complaints Secretary, of OF5/Colonel rank, holds delegated authority to make consolatory payments of up to £500 and is empowered to delegate such authority to all Decision and Appeal Bodies. The minimum Army rank for appointment to Decision and Appeal Bodies is OF4/Lieutenant Colonel.</p><p>The Naval Service Complaints Secretary has a delegated financial authority to make consolatory payments of up to £1,000 with any above that level requiring approval by the Deputy Finance Director. unstar this property answer text <p>The correct terminology is &quot;consolatory&quot; awards or payments, which are made in accordance with pan-Government Principles for Managing Public Money. The value of compensation/consolatory payments are determined by reference, as appropriate, to external benchmarks such as the Vento Scale (as used by the Employment Tribunal Service), and informed by legal advice.</p><p>The Army Service Complaints Secretary, of OF5/Colonel rank, holds delegated authority to make consolatory payments of up to £500 and is empowered to delegate such authority to all Decision and Appeal Bodies. The minimum Army rank for appointment to Decision and Appeal Bodies is OF4/Lieutenant Colonel.</p><p>The Naval Service Complaints Secretary has a delegated financial authority to make consolatory payments of up to £1,000 with any above that level requiring approval by the Deputy Finance Director. Governance requires that at any compensation level, advice is taken through Navy Command Finance if this payment would be regarded as novel or contentious.</p><p>The RAF Service Complaints Team has delegated authority to make consolatory payments of up to £500 with any above that level requiring approval by Air Director Resources.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
