	answer	answer answer text <p>Acas has a contractual relationship with ‘The Big Word’ to provide translation services. This commenced in July 2017 following the end of a contract with a previous provider. Acas are contacted by customers who require a translation service approximately 536 times per month, and the majority of these contacts are customers phoning their employment law Helpline for advice. Acas are supplied by ‘The Big Word’ with translators which cover many languages with Polish being the most popular, though they have used translators who are able to speak less common languages such as Turkmen.</p><p>The Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate, based in BEIS, provides support direct to agency workers and also offers translation facilities through ‘the Big Word’.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government is committed to upgrading workers’ rights as we leave the EU, not reduce them. The Good Work Plan represents a large part of this commitment and is the biggest upgrade in a generation. The Department regularly engages with stakeholders on the reforms announced in the Good Work Plan. Secondary legislation repealing the Swedish Derogation was laid on 17 December 2018 and approved by the House of Commons’ Seventh Delegated Legislation Committee on 6 March 2019. Subject to approval from the House of Lords, all agency workers will be entitled to the same pay as permanent staff after 12 weeks in an assignment from 6 April 2020. This will allow time for businesses to realign their contractual arrangements, both with their workers and the end hirers.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>Both the UK and the EU share a strong interest in preserving the integrated supply chains in the aerospace sector.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has sought to work constructively with the EU to get the best deal for business. The Government and Parliament’s priority is still to leave the European Union with a deal that works for citizens and businesses. This would avoid a no-deal outcome and a cliff-edge, and ensure parts can be sourced from the EU in a timely manner.</p><p> </p><p>As a responsible Government, we are planning for all scenarios and communicating with businesses. BEIS Ministers and officials meet regularly with industry through the Aerospace Growth Partnership. Through this engagement we encourage companies to engage proactively with their supply chain to prepare for potential no deal scenarios. We are aware that companies in the aerospace sector are stockpiling essential parts to try to minimise disruption in a no deal scenario.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>In CfD Allocation Round 2 dedicated biomass and offshore wind cleared at the same strike price of £74.75MWh for delivery year 2021/22.</p><p> </p><p>The Administrative Strike Prices (ASPs) set out the maximum support that the Government is willing to offer developers for each technology in a given delivery year. In setting the ASPs, the government has drawn upon the latest generation cost data, while also considering market conditions, policy considerations and other technology specific factors in order to encourage new investment whilst ensuring value for money for consumers.</p><p> </p><p>The methodology used to determine the draft ASPs for the third allocation round is published here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/contract-for-difference-cfd-third-allocation-round-methodology-used-to-set-administrative-strike-prices" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/contract-for-difference-cfd-third-allocation-round-methodology-used-to-set-administrative-strike-prices</a></p><p> </p><p>CfDs are awarded in a series of competitive auctions, with the lowest price bids being successful as a means of driving cost reduction and project efficiencies.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>Biomass plants in receipt of subsidies must comply with the UK’s sustainability criteria. Plants with a capacity of 1 megawatt and above must also prepare an annual sustainability report, compiled by a third-party auditor, which will provide assurance that the biomass is from sustainable sources.</p><p> </p><p>Wood is a globally trade commodity. Prices are influenced by global demand, currency exchange rates and weather conditions. Our Wood Fuel Disclosure Survey concluded that most of the wood fuel used for electricity generation in the UK is imported and that the volumes of UK wood used are expected to remain constant.</p><p> </p><p>Energy markets have grown in recent years and this has benefited woodland owners and contractors who have increased harvesting rates. Availability forecasts suggest there is potential to increase production further if businesses are willing to invest in the supply chain and encourage more woodland owners to enter the market.</p>
