In addition, all Local Authorities in Great Britain and four in Northern Ireland have pledged to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant.</p><p> </p><p>Broadening support for the Covenant is a top priority for the Ministerial Covenant and Veterans Board and the Armed Forces Covenant annual report outlines the progress we have made.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>As Minister with responsibility for Cadets, I commend the good work Cadet forces do in Northern Ireland and welcome invitations to visit its Cadet establishments. I met with Cadets in East Londonderry on 23 June 2018. I also met Cadets in Belfast on 11 November 2018. The Secretary of State for Defence has not visited Cadets in north west Northern Ireland, although he did meet with Cadets on 8 September 2018 in Enniskillen.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>There is no age-based priority afforded to claimants under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. This is because the rules of the Scheme normally require a claim to be submitted within seven years of an illness or injury attributable to Service occurring.</p><p>As there are no time limitations attached to when a claim can be made under the War Pension Scheme, priority is afforded to claimants aged 90 or over in recognition of their advanced age, thereby allowing compensation claims to be completed as quickly as possible.</p> more like this
