	answer	answer answer text <p>NHS England has been working with NHS Digital to develop reporting from the new Mental Health Services Data Set. This mandatory data set includes provision for the diagnosis of autism to be recorded, and reporting on these data has been prioritised. Experimental data reports on the number of people diagnosed with autism are expected to be published by the end of 2016.</p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service is taking action to increase the health checks and cancer screening programmes for people with learning disabilities, including those who also have autism. In 2015, NHS England commissioned the world's first Learning Disability Mortality Review Programme to support local areas to review deaths of people with learning disabilities and to use the information to improve service provision so that physical and mental health problems can be identified and addressed. Information from the programme will help with what more can be done to support regular health monitoring to address the health care needs of people diagnosed with autism.</p><p> </p><p>In 2015, the Department reviewed and updated the autism statutory guidance for the NHS and local authorities in England. 	answer	answer answer text <p>People detained in immigration removal centres (IRCs) should receive an equivalent range and quality of treatment and services for their health needs as people in the community, according to their clinical needs.</p><p>Health care in IRCs in England is commissioned by NHS England, who only commission evidence-based treatments approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). NICE provides guidance on the treatment of people who self-harm, which healthcare professionals in IRCs are expected to take into account. 	answer	answer answer text <p>The mandate to NHS England makes it clear they should ensure the National Health Service meets the needs of each individual with a service where people’s experience of their care is seen as an integral part of overall quality.</p><p> </p><p>It is for the NHS locally to ensure appropriate facilities and services are in place to support parents following pregnancy loss. To assist NHS commissioners and providers, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ Standards for Gynaecology and Standards for Maternity (2008) sets out clear standards for the level of care provided to help women and their partners experiencing pregnancy loss, including the availability of skilled staff to support parents following a stillbirth or miscarriage. 	answer	answer answer text <p><em>The economic burden of ill health due to diet, physical inactivity, smoking, alcohol and obesity in the UK: an update to 2006-07 NHS costs</em> estimated that overweight and obesity cost the National Health Service in the United Kingdom £5.1 billion per year. This figure was uplifted to £6.1 billion in 2014-15 to take account of inflation.</p><p> </p><p>The Foresight team published <em>Tackling Obesities: Future Choices</em> in 2007. This estimated the annual costs of overweight and obesity to society and the economy as £27 billion in 2015, based on obesity prevalence at the time. 	answer	answer answer text <p>Commissioning of child and adolescent health services (CAMHS) in England is complex, with responsibility divided between NHS England, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), local authorities and schools.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In the Spring Budget in March 2015 the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced an additional £1.25 billion over the next five years for children and young people’s mental health.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Priorities for CCG expenditure are for local determination. However, the 2015/16 planning guidance from NHS England states that: “every CCG will be expected to use its extra funding to increase funding for local mental health services in real terms next year by at least the level of the CCG’s overall funding growth.” In addition, new guidance to CCGs on local transformation plans for children and young people’s mental health will require that local partners be transparent on local activity, workforce and spend on CAMHS.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The priority for NHS England, which is responsible for the commissioning of the Tier 4 in-patient beds, is to focus on improving access to these services when they are required.</p><p> </p> question first answered 20/07/2015 11:05:11 answering member 1201
