	answer	answer answer text <p>The United Kingdom formally signed the Council of Europe Convention on Organ Trafficking on 25 March 2015 and has legislation in place to ensure consent is always provided to prevent organ trafficking. The Government also supports the 2008 Declaration of Istanbul on Organ Trafficking and Transplant Tourism, which encourages all countries to draw up legal and professional frameworks to govern organ donation and transplantation activities.</p><p> </p><p>When the UK signed the convention, it did so on the basis that it reserved the right not to apply the jurisdiction rules laid down in paragraph 1.d and e of Article 10 of the convention. There are no current plans to ratify the convention.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government recognises that ensuring debt sustainability and transparency in Low Income Countries (LICs) is important. UK-based lenders are subject to extensive prudential disclosure requirements under UK prudential and accounting law, including for material loans made to foreign Governments, which appropriately reflect firms’ exposures. Compliance with these requirements are independently assessed by the relevant UK regulator during their supervisory activities.</p><p> </p><p>Given the complex international nature of LIC debt, we continue to believe that internationally-agreed assessments and coordinated approaches to tackle debt vulnerability are most effective. The G20 have been supporting work on debt sustainability, including G20 sustainable lending guidelines and voluntary industry-led initiatives to promote debt transparency from private lenders to sovereign nations, especially LICs.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The UK supports sustainable trade of agricultural commodities associated with deforestation, including palm oil. We are a signatory to the Amsterdam Declaration in support of a fully sustainable palm oil supply chain and are a member of the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 and have endorsed the New York Declaration on Forests.</p><p>In Malaysia the British High Commission is working with Malaysian government enforcement agencies and NGOs to tackle the illegal wildlife trade. During HRH the Prince of Wales' visit to Sarawak in November 2017 the state government reiterated its full commitment to protect the orangutan. Both Sabah and Sarawak states have invested in two rehabilitation centres for displaced orangutans. The UK is an active member of the Great Ape Survival Partnership (GRASP), a UN body dedicated to the conservation of great apes, including orangutans.</p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>The revised Renewable Energy Directive includes a provision restricting biofuels with a high risk of causing indirect land use change (ILUC) from counting towards EU renewable energy targets. Details of the provision are to be determined by the Commission in a delegated Act by February 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s position is that all biofuels should deliver genuine greenhouse gas savings compared to fossil fuels. In the UK we ensure that measures to promote a market for biofuels, including rewards provided through the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO), avoid supporting biofuels with high ILUC impacts. The latest verified data for 2016/17 shows the average greenhouse savings of biofuels supplied under the RTFO is 71% compared to fossil fuels, even when emissions from indirect land use change are taken into account.</p><p> </p>

I have hosted a number of roundtable discussions in preparing the draft Clean Air Strategy, meeting with a wide range of organisations representing public health interests, including the World Health Organisation (WHO), to discuss health impacts from particulate matter and how these could be reduced, and how we can improve the information provided about air pollution, forecasts and health impacts.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Officials continue regular engagement with a wide range of these organisations during and after the consultation on the draft Clean Air Strategy, and are pursuing a number of ideas for joint working on improving communications about health and pollution, including child health.</p><p> </p>

	answer	answer answer text <p>This is a devolved matter.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Defra does not fund studies into the effect of air pollution on child health as this falls more in the remit of bodies such as the Department of Health and Social Care or Public Health England.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We have consulted on our new Clean Air Strategy, which sets out how we are investing £10 million in improving our modelling, data and analytical tools to give a more precise picture of current and future air quality and the impact of policies to improve it in the future. We will continue to work in collaboration with research councils who are funding a large programme of research on air pollution.</p><p> </p>

Enabling them to design and mint their own versions of the iconic new £1 coin is a demonstration of that commitment.</p><p>Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies will now be able to apply to the Royal Mint for permission to produce their own 12-sided pound coins. It is for the coin issuing authority in each of the Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies to seek permission, if they wish to do so.</p>
