unstar this property answer text <p>The First-tier Tribunal – Social Security and Child Support (SSCS), administered by HM Courts &amp; Tribunals Service (HMCTS), hears appeals against Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) decisions on a range of benefits including Personal Independence Payment (PIP).</p><p>Information on overall volumes of PIP appeals received is published by the Ministry of Justice in Tribunal Statistics Quarterly. The most recent report, for the period July to September 2015, can be viewed at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/tribunals-and-gender-recognition-certificate-statistics-quarterly-july-to-september-2015" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/tribunals-and-gender-recognition-certificate-statistics-quarterly-july-to-september-2015</a></p><p>Between April 2013 (when PIP was introduced) and September 2015 (the latest period for which statistics are available, 3713 PIP reassessment appeals were upheld.</p><p>HMCTS does not hold accurate information on the overall volumes of PIP reassessment appeals received.</p>
