star this property answer text <p>Further to the statement by my right honourable friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on 23 September, details of external ministerial meetings are published on <a href="http://gov.uk/" target="_blank">gov.uk</a></p><p>Regarding the 'Check an HGV is ready to cross the border' service (formerly known as 'Smart Freight'), I refer to the answer given to<a href="https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questions/detail/2020-09-21/92707" target="_blank"> PQ 92707.</a></p><p>It is vital businesses, including those who rely on seasonal work, and workers prepare for the end of the Transition Period. That is why the Government has launched a public information campaign to ensure those affected are ready for the changes this will bring.The campaign uses a range of communication channels and events to help employers understand and prepare. Guidance for businesses is available on <a href="http://gov.uk/transition" target="_blank">gov.uk/transition</a>.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade (DIT) interprets ‘Temporarily employed’ staff for the purposes of this response to be those working on DIT objectives under Contingent Labour arrangements. This response does not cover staff on loan from Other Government Departments working on DIT objectives, secondees, Fast Stream employees, Interns, or Fixed Term Appointees.</p><p>A total of 217 staff were employed under Contingent Labour arrangements, of which 19 worked within U.K. Export Finance and 198 within the DIT Ministerial department as of June 2021.</p><p>Of the above, there are 0 Senior Civil Servants currently employed under Contingent Labour arrangements across both U.K. Export Finance and DIT.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>On the revised Strategic Export Licensing Criteria, no impact assessment was carried out as we do not expect the changes to have a significant impact on the level of arms exports.</p><p> </p><p>An impact assessment was carried out on the proposed changes to the Military End-Use Control. The assessment concluded the changes would have a minimal impact on legitimate trade while allowing the Government to prevent exports of otherwise non-controlled items that pose threats to national security, international peace and security, and human rights in embargoed destinations.</p> more like this
