star this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence has a requirement to deliver its defence tasks as efficiently as possible and where sites are no longer required this includes their disposal. Individual social/economic assessments are not routinely conducted as part of this, however, the Department continues to work closely with local authorities to determine the impact of these decisions on local communities and how we can release surplus military sites for meaningful future use.</p><p> </p> more like this

Further work is ongoing to assess requirements to effectively deliver Future Soldier. This work is being done in-line with Treasury and Department policy and guidance, to provide the facilities needed for a more agile Army.</p><p> </p> more like this

This is a secondary saluting station which, like all saluting stations that are not on the Defence Estate, is utilised through an enabling agreement. star this property answer text <p>Defence uses specialist transport and infrastructure studies to appreciate the opportunities and constraints for Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites in both Catterick and York. Work continues following the Future Soldier announcement.</p><p> </p><p>Decarbonisation plans are assessed by the Local Authority as part of the planning and building control process, although the MOD is also developing plans for decarbonisation and renewables opportunities across our estate consistent with our Climate Change and Sustainability Strategic Approach.</p> more like this
