star this property answer text <p>As we prepare to leave the EU, it is vital that we continue to ensure opera-tional resilience at the border.</p><p>Border Force has recruited a Readiness Task Force to provide operational resilience to the frontline and allow existing staff to undertake EU exit re-lated training. The c.300 multi-disciplinary Border Force officers will be fully deployed by the end of the year.</p><p>An additional c.600 Border Force officers are being recruited in 2018/19 to respond to the new requirements it will face as a result of EU Exit and to provide resilience at key locations.</p><p>Border Force will always ensure it has the necessary resources to keep the border secure and will respond flexibly to emerging requirements through ongoing assessments of operational needs</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Home Office annually reviews the data it collects from police forces under the Annual Data Requirement. We need to ensure we have the right data to inform national policies and better understand the picture from the frontline, but we need to balance this against overburdening the police with added bureaucracy.</p><p>The police do have a role in responding to people in mental health crisis and that remains the case irrespective of whether the crisis is related to gambling, substance abuse or something entirely different. There will be difficulties for the police in identifying mental health problem connected to gambling-related harm, which means it will be problematic to collect data on the number of call outs from the police forces in a consistent and reliable way.</p><p>However, we continue to work with the police and health colleagues to ensure that those in mental health crisis receive the support that they require.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Greek Government is responsible for running the camps on the Aegean islands and for the humanitarian response. UK support in Greece is part of a wider EU effort in coordination with the EU Commission and other EU Member States.</p><p>UK expert staff are seconded to the EU Commission office in Athens to support its efforts in working with Greece to improve living and security conditions for migrants in the camps on the island hotspots.</p><p>On the running of the camps, UK experts advise on the implementation of camp operating procedures through working with the relevant Greek authorities to deliver a safe, secure, healthy and clean environment for the camp population. They also provide recommendations and reports on security and safety related issues including: evacuation plans, emergency exits and staff security.</p> more like this
