	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/06/2014 answer text <p>The Department set up Health Education England (HEE) to deliver a better health and healthcare workforce for England. HEE is responsible for ensuring a secure workforce supply for the future balancing need against demand, taking into account factors such as the age profile of the existing workforce, the impact of technology, and new drugs.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has recognised the need to increase the general practitioner (GP) workforce and between September 2010 and September 2013, the number of full time equivalent GPs has risen by 1,051. Additionally, the Department has included in the HEE mandate a requirement that “HEE will ensure that 50% of trainees completing foundation level training enter GP training programmes by 2016”.</p><p> </p><p>Further work is being undertaken by HEE to improve applications and fill rate in to GP training to support the mandate target of 3,250 appointments into GP training by 2016 in England. This includes a review of the GP recruitment process, developing a pre-GP year to give exposure to prospective GP applicants of the specialty and careers advice for foundation doctors and medical students.</p><p> </p><p>In recognition of the contribution the GP workforce makes in the NHS, HEE will also undertake additional work on GP recruitment and retention, return to practice and reducing attrition rates, all of which will play a part in increasing the GP workforce.</p><p> </p><p>The following table indicates the number of posts commissioned and filled and the fill rate for GP training in England for the last five years. This policy removed a number of higher income households from the tax credit population. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2014 answer text <p>The Treasury Solicitor's Department (TSol), which provides legal services to a number of government departments and bodies, conducted an annual client satisfaction survey in January 2014 The outcome of the survey was reported to the TSol Board and is one of the measures agreed with TSol by HM Treasury.</p><p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are conducting a survey of victims of crime who had received the revised victim communication and liaison scheme which is currently being piloted by three CPS Areas. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/04/2014 answer text <p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has robust processes for dealing with cases involving deaths in custody or in contact with police which follow the requirements of the then Attorney General's &quot;Review of the Role and Practices of the CPS in Cases Arising from a Death in Custody 2003&quot;.</p><p>All death in custody cases are dealt with by the CPS Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division to ensure consistency of approach and that they are dealt with by lawyers with the necessary skills and experience. Only very experienced senior lawyers, who are specifically designated, are permitted to review death in custody cases. The reviews carried out by the senior lawyer in cases involving deaths in custody are examined by their line manager and then by the Head of Special Crime &amp; Counter Terrorism Division (or her Deputy). They are then submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for final approval. In any case where the decision is not to proceed, unless the DPP is satisfied that it is &quot;plain beyond doubt&quot; that there is no case to answer, experienced external counsel will be instructed to advise.</p><p>The status of the specified cases is as follows:</p><p>(1) Azelle Rodney: Following the publication of the report of Sir Christopher Holland in relation to his inquiry Mr Rodney's death, the IPCC wrote to the Director of Public Prosecutions to ask that the CPS review the case. This review is underway and the CPS is working with the IPCC in order to determine whether any further investigation is required. Once the CPS is satisfied that it has received a full file, it will consider whether charges should be brought.</p><p>(2) Jimmy Mubenga: prosecutions were announced on 20 March 2014.</p><p>(3) Christopher Alder: prosecutions took place in 2002 – all defendants were acquitted.</p><p>(4) Sean Rigg: The CPS has provided investigative advice to the IPCCin relation to allegations of perjury. A charging decision has not been requested.</p><p>(5) Habib Ullah: The CPS has received a full file and is considering whether charges should be brought.</p><p>(6) Ricky Bishop: Mr Bishop died in 2001. The first stage is the evidential test which requires prosecutors to be satisfied that there is sufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction. The budget for the transition to Individual Electoral Registration (IER) was set in 2010, based on robust cost projections and included optimism bias in line with best practice. Careful management of budgets, combined with an agile approach to the development of the IT supporting the move to IER has helped to ensure that, to date, the programme has come in under budget. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The budget for IER has supported three rounds of pilots since 2011 and a complete national test of the IT that will support the automatic confirmation of at least 78% of current electors.
