	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/07/2017 answer text <p>Local Government is by far the largest investor into community sport with £1bn invested each year and most grassroots sport is played using facilities (including parks and informal spaces) owned or controlled by the 353 local authorities in England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2017 answer text <p>This Government remains committed to encouraging more people to engage in sport and physical activity, regardless of their background or level of ability.</p><p> </p><p>The Government's Sporting Future strategy published in December 2015 set out that, in future, public investment in sport and physical activity will be based on the contribution that organisations can make to five broad outcomes: Physical Wellbeing; Mental Wellbeing; Individual Development; Social and Community Development; and Economic Development. Cycling, including off-road cycling, is included as part of the strategy.
