	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2019 answer text <p>In the Department’s Winter 2017 School Snapshot Survey, responses from secondary schools that teach Year 9 pupils were as follows: 35% of respondents stated that all their Year 9 pupils would start studying for Key Stage 4 for all subjects, 28% stated that all their Year 9 pupils would start studying for Key Stage 4 for some subjects, 9% stated that some of their Year 9 pupils would start studying for Key Stage 4 for some subjects, 27% stated that none of their Year 9 pupils would start studying for Key Stage 4.</p><p>The snapshot survey report can be found here:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-snapshot-survey-winter-2017" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-snapshot-survey-winter-2017</a>.</p><p>The information requested is not held centrally regarding administrative data of when individual schools start teaching Key Stage 4. To improve our understanding of the management of asbestos in schools, the Department launched the Asbestos Management Assurance Process (AMAP) in March 2018. This will enable the Department to develop an even better understanding of how asbestos is being managed in schools, strengthen the Department’s published guidance and support the Department’s work with the Health and Safety Executive to follow up with any schools of concern.</p><p>The Department intends to publish the report on the findings of the AMAP this month. It is important that schools play their part in conserving energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The Department will support schools to procure environmentally sound services, encouraging suppliers to work with their supply chains to offer choice and value. For example, each time a new boiler is installed, it replaces one of an old specification that is far less energy efficient.</p><p>The Department is also committed to delivering new schools that meet energy efficiency targets and supporting the existing estate to reduce its energy demand through advice, support and capital grants. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/06/2019 answer text <p>The total number and percentage of students entering A level physical education in each year is provided in the tables attached, as well as the percentage of entrants into each subject who were eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). The Department has published[1] the number of students entering A level physical education or sport/physical education studies (up to 2015/16), split by FSM, from 2010/11 – 2017/18. Figures for 2009/10 are not available</p><p> </p><p>Figures for 2010/11 – 2015/16 are based on exam results achieved in the report year. In addition, for 2015/16 figures only include students who were included in the ‘best 3 A levels’ measure. From 2016/17, figures cover exam results achieved in all years of 16-18 studies (up to three years) and inclusion in the best 3 A level measure was no longer used in the methodology, resulting in more students being included and correspondingly higher rates of entry. Due to the changes in methodology 2015/16 is not comparable with any other year, and 2016/17 and 2017/18 are only comparable with each other.
