More places in the UK hosting world-leading and globally connected innovation clusters will create more jobs, productivity and growth. <br /> This will require significant investment from the private sector, both domestic and overseas. The interactive digital tool we will publish in September, which maps the UK’s clusters, will be crucial in helping us attract this investment and informing future policy. <br /> In the meantime, we continue to fund a range of programmes to enhance clusters. For example, we are investing £100 million to pilot Innovation Accelerators in three city regions, helping them become major, globally competitive centres for research and innovation. <br /> Catapults have a track record of accelerating growth clusters, both building national capacity and driving local impact. For the next 5-year funding period the UK’s 9 Catapults will receive £1.6bn of direct public funding. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2015 answer text <br /><p>CCGs will have the full commissioning responsibility for the obesity services within their remit to set standards for services for their population and to make clinical commissioning policy decisions in terms of patient eligibility with effect from April 2016.</p><br /><p>NHS England is supporting the transfer of commissioning responsibilities to CCGs by providing clinical guidance on standards for the adult obesity surgery pathway. This guidance is in development, supported by national clinical experts.</p><br /><p>The draft clinical commissioning policy includes reference to the relevant National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance to support CCGs in determining patient eligibility to obesity surgery. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2015 answer text <br /><p>The extension of direct access to diagnostic tests for primary care is an issue for clinical commissioning groups and local commissioners. Although the Independent Cancer Taskforce report did estimate that some additional diagnostic capacity was needed, it did not consider possible increases in capacity required specifically as a result of increasing general practitioner (GP) direct access to testing.</p><br /><p>The Taskforce’s five-year strategy recommends improvements across the cancer pathway, with the aim of improving survival rates, and we will work with the NHS, charities and patient groups to deliver it. We have already announced funding of up to £300 million a year by 2020 to increase diagnostic capacity to meet the new target that patients will be given a definitive cancer diagnosis, or the all clear, within 28 days of being referred by a GP.</p><br /><p>In addition, the recently updated National Institute for Health and Care Excellence referral guidelines for suspected cancer also recommend GPs refer direct-to-test in a number of different circumstances. There are approximately 35,000 buses in the English bus fleet, meaning around 5.8% of the total fleet has been retrofitted between 2015 and September 2019 through the CBTF. A further 2,793 buses are scheduled to be retrofitted from the most recent round of funding.
