We provide a wide suite of programmes and initiatives to support them, including:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Jobcentre support for schools, which targets young people that schools identify as being at risk of becoming NEET (not in employment, education or training), or who may otherwise be disadvantaged in the labour market – for example those with a health or disability issue.</li><li>The Young Person’s Supported Work Experience programme, which will offer a personally tailored supported work experience opportunity to enable young people (aged 18 – 24) to benefit fully from time in the work place. This proof of concept is being tested in five districts.</li><li>The Local Supported Employment (LSE) proof of concept ‘place and train’ model, which aims to move disabled people into real jobs, at the going rate of pay, with support for both the individual and employer.</li><li>Supported Internships, which, all qualified post-16 education providers in England have been able to deliver Since September 2013. These are personalised study programmes, based primarily at a prospective employer, for young people with complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities.</li><li>Access to Work, which already offers support to disabled people undertaking a number of opportunities that help them to prepare for paid employment, including work experience, apprenticeships, supported internships and traineeships.</li></ul><p>DWP also recognises the value of voluntary work in developing skills which can be transferred into the world of paid work, as well as benefitting local communities and wider society.</p><ul><li>Disabled young people who are claiming Universal Credit can have their weekly work search hours reduced by up to 50 per cent to accommodate voluntary work.</li><li>Those who are receiving Employment and Support Allowance can try out work when this has been agreed beforehand with their work coach, without their benefit being affected. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/04/2018 answer text <p>The existing law on workplace temperature, the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, places a legal obligation on employers to provide a ‘reasonable’ temperature in the workplace. A meaningful figure is not set out in regulations due to the factors, other than air temperature, which determine thermal comfort (for example, the radiant temperature, humidity and air velocity). These factors become more significant and the interplay between them more complex as the temperature rises.</p><p> </p><p>Detailed guidance on workplace temperature and thermal comfort is available on the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) <a href="http://www.hse.gov.uk/temperature/" target="_blank">website</a>. The frequency of the statistics will be established as part of the planning process.</p><p>Significant progress has been made in the delivery of the Work and Health Programme which will be fully available across England and Wales by March 2018. The Programme will provide support for around 245,000 disabled people, priority groups and the long term unemployed, with the objective to support individuals within these groups to find sustained employment.</p><p>This is a significant step to help thousands of disabled people across England and Wales get the support they need to move away from benefits and find lasting work and underlines the Government commitment to improving employment outcomes for disabled people. The performance targets that we have set will measure how successful suppliers are in doing so.</p><p>Performance of Work and Health Programme (WHP) contracts will be measured by the percentage of individuals starting the programme who go on to sustain employment or self-employment which meets the WHP job outcome definitions. Performance targets have been set for each geographical Contract Package Area (CPA). Within each CPA, we have also set performance targets for the three Customer Groups and the Devolved Deal Areas.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to achievement of the job outcome performance, DWP will measure supplier performance against a series of Customer Service Standards (CSS). This is to ensure that participants have a positive experience of their time on the programme.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the commercial tender process, bidders were evaluated on the key elements of their delivery models and the associated level of uplift to performance, to ensure robust and stretching performance offers, and meaningful and measurable CSS. These offers were incorporated in to their contracts, and constitute the targets to which DWP will hold suppliers.</p><p> </p><p>Contractual performance targets remain commercially sensitive.
