In England, the new levy revenue will be invested in giving school-aged children a brighter and healthier future. In September it was announced Prison Officers would see an above 1% rise for 2017/18, funded from the Ministry of Justice budget. In the NHS specifically, there are unique pressures this year: there are more operations than ever and more people going to A&amp;E than ever.
