Political parties were fully informed that the fund was for a limited period, and strongly encouraged to put support for their candidates in place.</p><p>While financial support for candidates in elections is a matter for political parties, the Government is also considering what support it might provide to succeed the current EnAble fund. Community groups and local authorities are now able to apply for capital and revenue funding to bring forward community-led housing schemes.<p> </p>Extending the Community Housing fund to March 2023 concerns budgets beyond 2019-20. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/04/2014 answer text <p>The Government's policy is that evolution should be taught in schools as an essential element of a rigorous scientific education; teaching creationism as science is incompatible with the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.</p><p> </p><p>The national curriculum requires all maintained schools to teach evolution as an established scientific theory. All academies and free schools are required to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum. The model funding agreements for all kinds of academies and free schools are being revised. The latest published version includes a specific requirement to teach evolution, and prohibits the teaching of creationism as an evidence-based theory.</p><p> </p><p>As in all areas of education, we look to Ofsted as the best and most effective lever to ensure expected standards are being achieved. All state funded schools are subject to Ofsted inspections which are required to report on the quality of education provided in the school including the quality of teaching.</p><p> </p><p>Providers in receipt of early years funding must follow clear standards to make sure children are taught the key skills they need to get a good start in life. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2018 answer text <p>Tax-Free Childcare is fairer and better targeted than the voucher scheme, as it covers a percentage of all childcare costs meaning parents who work longer hours and need more childcare are not disadvantaged. It is not possible to say how many families currently using Tax-free Childcare would be eligible for Employer-support Childcare, because that would depend on whether Employer-supported Childcare is offered by their employer, information which HMRC does not hold. Tax-free childcare does not depend on your employer offering the scheme – one of the reasons why it’s fairer.</p><p> </p><p>Whereas currently around 600,000 families are in receipt of childcare vouchers, we estimate that 1.5 million families with childcare costs will be eligible for Tax-free Childcare.
