This includes 18 Special Reserve Officers with niche skills, most of whom do not have previous military service. star this property answer text <p>The majority of personnel joining 77th Brigade transfer from other Regular or Reserve units and are therefore not recruits. The exception to this is Specialist Reserve Officers (SROs), who are recruited as civilians with niche skills. 44 SROs have been selected since 1 January 2015 of which 18 have completed the recruitment process and are currently on strength.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>It is difficult to correlate the number of sorties and weapon types utilised as one sortie can often constitute multiple weapons releases, possibly of different munition types. The following table details the total number of sorties, and those with weapons released, as of 25 August 2016. All UK strikes, in support of the Coalition, are undertaken as part of a rigorous targeting process, which assesses the situation before, during and after a strike to ensure adherence to the Law of Armed Conflict. star this property answer text <p>As set out in my right hon. Friend the Defence Secretary's contribution, the Ministry of Defence conducts a battle damage assessment after every RAF strike. This assessment reviews the strike, including whether it resulted in civilian casualties. Based on this careful assessment we have no evidence of civilian casualties as a result of any UK strikes in Iraq or Syria since combat operations began in 2014 and 2015 respectively.</p> more like this
