<p>In 2010, we ring-fenced nearly £40 million of stable funding up to 2015 to provide
services for victims of violence against women and girls. The Home Office contribution
amounted to £28 million over the period.</p><p>This funding provided for Independent
Domestic Violence Advisers, Independent Sexual Violence Advisers, Multi-Agency Risk
Assessment Conference (MARAC) coordinators, Young People’s Advocates and financial
support to free phone national help lines.</p><p>The Government has committed to continuing
that funding to April 2016, and has provided additional funding for both types of
support services including £10 million for refuges, £3 million for domestic violence
services including refuge provision and £7 million for victims of sexual violence
and child sexual abuse.</p>
