star this property answer text <p>Our trade policies will open global markets for UK farmers and lower their input costs. We have successfully rolled over EU FTAs but now want to give farmers enhanced access to countries with whom the EU could not or would not do a deal. We are giving farmers a stronger voice in trade policy, putting the Trade and Agriculture Commission on a statutory footing and we have just launched a major promotion campaign for the industry.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Recruitment data for 2021 and 2022 relates to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as this predates the recent Machinery of Government changes.</p><p> </p><p>BEIS operated the Disability Confident Scheme for disabled candidates applying to roles in the Department.</p><p> </p><p>The response below applies to recruitment campaigns advertised internally to BEIS and across government as the data requested is not held on externally advertised vacancies. The below figures apply to delegated grade recruitment from Administrative Officer (AO) to Grade 6.</p><p> </p><p>In 2021, 306 candidates internal to BEIS applied to roles advertised across the Department only or across government roles on promotion under the Disability Confident Scheme. 89 (29%) of these candidates were invited to interview and 25 (8%) received an offer and were promoted.</p><p> </p><p>In 2022, 505 BEIS candidates applied to roles advertised across the department only or across government roles on promotion under the Disability Confident Scheme. 142 (28%) of these candidates were invited to interview and 48 (10%) received an offer and were promoted.</p>

The Department works with the Government Property Agency to provide a variety of work settings within its offices, including workstations, meeting rooms and collaborative workspaces. Department buildings are risk assessed to give a safe and healthy working environment for staff, and where required, specialist work equipment and software is provided. The exemptions were decided on a case-by-case basis and were subject to public consultation. They are as follows:</p><p> </p><p>- Walney Extension was granted a nine-month exemption to June 2020;</p><p>- Hornsea 1 was granted a six-month exemption to July 2021;</p><p>- Beatrice was granted a 12-month exemption to October 2021;</p><p>- East Anglia One was granted two exemptions of three and 10 months to April 2023;</p><p>- Triton Knoll was granted a 9-month exemption to July 2023; and</p><p>- Moray East was granted a 6-month exemption to March 2024.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department’s Generation Costs Report 2023 is regularly updated based on externally reviewed evidence; these external reports are also published containing detailed description of underlying assumptions.</p><p> </p><p>The 61% net load factor assumed for offshore wind plants commissioning in 2025 is derived from DESNZ modelling of wind turbine load factors. This calculation combines a theoretical turbine power curve (power output as a function of wind speed, modelled using turbine technology parameters including rotor swept area and hub height) with historic site-specific Virtual Met Mast (VMM) hourly wind speed data sourced from the UK Met Office.</p> more like this
