Mental health support services provided by trusts could include access to occupational health services, employee assistance programmes, confidential counselling helplines, processes for open sharing of experiences, crisis and trauma response provision and team and peer support structures.</p><p>The Department is supporting them in this through the NHS staff health and wellbeing framework and NHS Improvement’s NHS staff health and wellbeing collaborative. The programme includes modules on safeguarding adults and children. The requirement to complete this training is part of the employment contract for each employee and it is the responsibility of individual health and social care employer organisations to ensure that their workforce complete it.</p><p>In addition, the Department has also put £2 million over 2018/19 and 2019/20 behind expanding a pathfinder programme, which will create a model health response for survivors of domestic violence and abuse in general practice, mental health services and hospitals. This expands the number of clinical commissioning groups which are pathfinder sites from three to eight providing health services to approximately 18,000 survivors.</p><p>In March 2017 the Department published an online Domestic Violence and Abuse resource for health professionals to improve awareness of domestic violence and abuse. It advises health staff on how they can support adults and young people over 16 who are experiencing domestic abuse, and dependent children in their households, by showing how they can respond effectively to disclosures of abuse.</p><p>The Department has also funded the successful Identification and Referral to Improve Safety (IRIS) project. This provides staff training and a support programme to bridge the gap between the voluntary sector and primary care, to harness the strengths of each, and to provide an improved domestic violence service. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/04/2019 answer text <p>The Department has not deprioritised any European Union exit Statutory Instruments (SIs).</p><p> </p><p>Our objective has always been to have a functioning statute book in place by ‘exit day’ and to ensure that the most critical secondary legislation was made by this point. Each SI was carefully considered on a case-by-case basis, enabling the Department to lay the critical secondary legislation required before we exit the EU.</p><p> </p><p>Given the extension to Article 50, the Department will consider whether any further EU exit SIs will need to be brought forward to amend any EU Regulations which have come into force since the original EU Exit SI programme was finalised, to ensure a functioning statute book ahead of a potential ‘no deal’ exit. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2019 answer text <p>As a responsible Government, we continue preparations to minimise any disruption in a ‘no deal’ scenario. We are putting in place a range of mitigations, these include:</p><p>- leading a procurement exercise to secure an ‘express freight service’, with the aim to secure transport of small medical supply consignment into the United Kingdom within the 24 hours if the UK leaves the European Union without a deal;</p><p>- changing or clarifying regulatory requirements so that companies can continue to sell their products in the UK if we have ‘no deal’;</p><p>- working with industry to improve trader readiness in preparation for the new customs procedures that will come into force on day one if we leave the EU without a deal; and</p><p>- advising travellers to ensure they have comprehensive travel insurance.</p><p>HM Treasury has allocated over £4.2 billion of additional funding to departments and devolved administrations for EU exit preparations so far. This breaks down as £412 million over the spending review period for the Department for Exiting the European Union, Department for International Trade and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Autumn Statement 2016); £286 million of additional funding for 2017/18 (a full breakdown of which can be found in Supplementary Estimates 2017/18); over £1.5 billion for 2018/19 (Supplementary Estimates 2018/19); and over £2 billion for 2019/20 (Main Estimates 2019/20).</p><p>This funding is to cover all exit scenarios and is in addition to departmental efforts to reprioritise from business as usual toward preparations for the UK’s departure from the EU. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government of Spain has offered to continue to maintain the existing arrangements for reciprocal healthcare in the event that the United Kingdom leaves the European Union without a deal. This includes access to treatment that becomes necessary during the course of a visit to Spain.</p><p><br> This means that in Spain, UK-issued European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) or the equivalent would continue to be accepted as proof of UK cover in a ‘no deal’ scenario. The UK EHIC or its equivalent would need to be presented with a valid passport. It is important to note that UK EHICs will be accepted in Spain for 21 months after EU exit.</p><p><br> The Government of Portugal’s ‘no deal’ unilateral offer is only extended to UK nationals. This means that other nationals, including EU citizens, resident in the UK who presently enjoy UK EHIC cover would be fully charged for accessing public healthcare when they visit Portugal. Only UK passports, and not UK EHICs, would be accepted as providing proof of UK cover.
