star this property answer text <p /> <p>From April 2010 Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) took responsibility for the governance and performance management of the 143 accredited Specialist Domestic Violence Courts (SDVCs) across England and Wales. As of March 2014 there were 137 accredited SDVCs. However, the closure of SDVCs in some areas does not necessarily mean that provision in that area has ceased, as many of the SDVC systems cover a number of courthouses. Closure of an SDVC in one courthouse would simply mean that the case would be heard in another accredited courthouse within the Local Justice Area.</p><p> </p><p>HMCTS remains committed to a partnership approach to supporting domestic violence victims going through the Criminal Justice Process.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>Question 213688 was answered on 8 January 2015 but I have reproduced it here, for ease.</p><p> </p><p>Without incurring disproportionate cost it is not readily possible to distinguish those judicial review cases which were successfully brought against specific policies or measures from the total number of judicial review cases which were successfully brought against the Ministry of Justice.</p><p> </p><p>My letter dated 7 January 2015 answering Question 211301 (which can also be found in the Libraries of the Houses and on www.parliament.uk) sets out the numbers of judicial review cases successfully brought against the Ministry of Justice in each year from 2010 to 2012.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>The Government does not produce forecasts of the number of children living in income poverty as the number of children in poverty is dependent on factors which cannot be reliably predicted, such as the median income.</p><p> </p><p>The Government does measure annual child poverty statistics through the National Statistics Households Below Average Income (HBAI) series. Estimates of the number and proportion of children in relative and absolute low income in the UK have consistently been reported since 1998/99; these are available for each financial year up to 2012/13, the latest period for which estimates are available.</p><p> </p><p>There has been no assessment of the impact on child poverty of the combined tax and benefit changes announced since May 2010. Available survey data does not allow the Government to robustly assess the combined effects of tax and benefit policy on households with children.</p><p> </p><p>However, this Government has taken unprecedented steps to assess the effects of its policy decisions across the distribution of household income, by publishing analysis of the cumulative effects of the tax and welfare measures announced at each fiscal event since the June Budget 2010. The latest analysis can be found in Chapter 2 of the attached report.</p>

star this property answer text <p>This Government inherited over 223,000 records - dating from before December 2008 - with very poor data quality, and no structured plan. Alongside wider work to restore control to our immigration system, particularly through abolishing the UK Border Agency, the Government initiated a programme to bring sense to this stock of old records. Having identified and taken out records relating to those people known to have left the country, as well as duplicate and erroneous records, the number of meaningful pre-2008 records is just over 89,000. Those are now being addressed in the proper way.</p><p /> more like this

star this property answer text <ol><li><p>The Sovereign has received no direct benefit from bona vacantia since 1988. The Privy purse benefited by £339k in 1984/85, £468k in 1985/86, £418k in 1986/87 and £497k in 1987/88.</p></li></ol><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Since 1988 proceeds from bona vacantia have been used to pay late claims and the balance has been divided between three charities established to receive these funds which are the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund (supporting charities within the County Palatine or where the Duchy has landed or historical interests in England and Wales), the Jubilee Trust (which supports The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy and other heritage buildings owned by the Duchy) and the Duke of Lancaster Housing Trust (which provides rural affordable housing).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>b). The Duchy has not kept a record of any specific bequests in favour of the Duchy in the course of the last 30 years. If such a bequest were to be received, and in the absence of specific conditions attached to it, it is highly likely that the funds would be transferred to one of these Duchy charities.</p><p> </p>
