	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/10/2016 answer text <p>Helping Afghans to tackle corruption is a key priority for the UK’s engagement in Afghanistan, where we focus first and foremost on anti-corruption efforts that contribute to the building of a stable and self-reliant state. Anti-corruption was a key theme of the Brussels Conference on Afghanistan. At the Conference, the Afghan government announced that the new Anti Corruption Justice Centre (ACJC) was operational. From 2014-2016 the UK funded a £3.1m programme which helps women who have been victims of violence to get the justice they deserve. The programme trained hundreds of government officials, community members, police, judiciary, religious leaders, and law students on the Ending Violence Against Women law. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/10/2016 answer text <p>The UK aims to reduce Afghanistan’s dependence on aid and help make it a more prosperous safe and stable country.</p><p>The UK supports the extractives sector to accelerate economic development and revenue generation. Through the £10.3m Extractive Sector Support Programme, the UK has recommended revisions to the Minerals Law and provided support for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to incorporate amendments.</p><p>The Mining Advisory Council is currently reviewing the amendments. Following this review, the amendments will go to the Ministry of Justice, the Council of Ministers, Parliament and finally the President for enactment. UK support will help build a safer, more stable and prosperous Afghanistan through increased state capacity and legitimacy; it will support increased economic growth and self-reliance and decreased poverty and vulnerability. Of this, DFID plans to spend £700 million, and the remainder will be spent through cross-government mechanisms including the Conflict, Security, and Stability Fund.</p><p>HM Treasury routinely adjusts the Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) budget to ensure the UK meets the target to spend 0.7% of Gross National Income on ODA. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/10/2016 answer text <p>The Department for International Development, and other UK Government departments, continue to closely monitor conditions for refugees and migrants in official Government-run centres and unofficial camps in Serbia, as well as the humanitarian situation in the Balkans more broadly.</p><p>The UK has responded generously to the refugee and migrant crisis, contributing up to £18 million in humanitarian assistance in the Balkans through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), the Red Cross, International Organisation for Migration (IOM), as well as the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (CPM). 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/09/2016 answer text <p>In 2015/16, 11.5% of DFID’s programme spent in Bangladesh was spent on the Government of Bangladesh’s five year Health Sector Development programme. This includes support to cancer patients.</p><p>It is not possible to identify the exact amount of the UK government’s support for child cancer as this is part of many other diseases managed by the Health sector development programme. However, overall deaths in children less than 5 years of age are decreasing fast in Bangladesh. In 2007, the under-five death rate was 65 per 1000 live births. In 2014 it reduced to 46 deaths per 1000 live births.
