	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/03/2024 answer text <p>We welcome the report of 23 February by the High Commissioner for Human Rights and his Expert, Radhoune Nouicer, on the situation in Sudan. The report details multiple atrocities committed by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces. We continue to take a leading role in supporting processes for justice and accountability in Sudan. In October 2023, the UN Human Rights Council adopted the UK-led Sudan Core Group resolution to establish an independent and international Fact-Finding Mission. This will support future accountability efforts in Sudan. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/06/2023 answer text <p>The UK remains a staunch advocate for justice and supports the role of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in investigating war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity. We provide assistance to the ICC in line with our obligations under Part 9 of the Rome Statute. The UK is under a duty of confidentiality in relation to specific requests for cooperation received from the Court as set out in article 87(3) of the Rome Statute. The UK has also provided further voluntary donations in response to requests from the ICC Office of the Prosecutor. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>​As we made clear in a statement alongside Troika partners (US and Norway) on 4 June, we condemn the recent violent attacks by Sudanese security forces against peaceful protestors in Sudan, which left many civilians dead or injured. The Foreign Secretary reiterated this in his statement on 6 June, which also called for the full restoration of the internet and freedom of the media. The UK has called for the human rights of all Sudanese people to be respected and for the resumption of the political process with the protestors and the opposition, and an agreed transfer of power to a civilian-led government, as demanded by the Sudanese people, in a swift, orderly and peaceful manner. On 6 June, I summoned the Sudanese Ambassador to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to express the grave concerns of the United Kingdom at the use of violence against civilians by the Sudanese authorities.
