unstar this property answer text <p>The Government is clear that the public, private and voluntary sectors all have a role to play in delivering probation services.</p><p> </p><p>We consulted in summer 2018 on proposals to better integrate providers in Wales by bringing the NPS and CRC into one combined probation service, while exploring options for the commissioning of rehabilitation services in Wales which reflect the delivery landscape and the skills and capabilities of providers.</p><p> </p><p>We continue to develop these proposals in consultation with stakeholders and will set out plans for the future of probation in Wales later this year.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>It is the Department’s policy not to release information about an individual in the criminal justice system, although it will sometimes be necessary for the Department to confirm information which is already in the public domain.</p><p> </p><p>Under the statutory Probation Victim Contact Scheme (VCS), qualifying victims who have chosen to receive the services of the VCS are entitled to receive certain information about an offender at key stages of the sentence being served by that offender. It is for the Probation Victim Liaison Officer (VLO) to provide that information to victims.</p><p> </p><p>In relation to the offender once known as Jon Venables, a VLO employed by a Probation Trust was designated and authorised to disclose to qualifying victims on or around 2 March 2010 that Venables had been recalled to custody for breaching his licence conditions.</p><p> </p><p>There has been no change to the relevant policies and procedures since that time, albeit that VLOs are no longer employed by a Probation Trust but by the National Probation Service.</p><p> </p>

This is up from around 4 million children in 2009/2010, over a third of whom were girls. Figures on the number of children out of school are hard to verify, but the UN estimates the figures to be between 6-7 million over the past few years. unstar this property answer text <p>The Preventing Maternal Deaths programme aims to increase access to family planning services, give women and girls more control over their lives, and reduce maternal deaths from unsafe abortion. Where national policies on abortion contribute to high levels of maternal death, our programme implementing partners may seek to raise awareness of these issues and support local efforts to achieve reform aimed at saving maternal lives.
