star this property answer text <p>FOXHOUND is a Cabinet Office-led, cross-government IT programme to develop and deploy a new secure capability for managing sensitive information, including that which is classified up to and at SECRET. The aim is to bear down on the growing information and cyber risk, whilst improving scope for collaboration across the National Security community. star this property answer text <p>Each government department or organisation connected to the PSN is responsible for procuring its own connectivity services separately from a group of approved providers. Since almost 700 public sector organisations across central government, local government and other public agencies and bodies use the PSN, it is not possible for Cabinet Office to report on the total cost to the public purse.</p><p>The National Audit Office 2016 “Protecting information across government” report reported that the project saved £406 million across government over the 4 years between 2011/12 and 2014/15.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Regulation 113 of the Public Contracts Regulations contains statutory guidance for contracting authorities and suppliers on paying undisputed invoices in 30 days down the supply chain.</p><p>This will be preserved under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act when the UK leaves the European Union, with relevant adjustments necessary to ensure legal operability. star this property answer text <p>On the same day as the referenced press release, the Cabinet Office announced a consultation to gather views on whether it would be appropriate to exclude suppliers from major government procurements if they cannot demonstrate a fair, effective and responsible approach to payment in their supply chain management. This consultation closed on 5 June. We have been reviewing responses and will publish the outcome shortly.</p><p> </p><p>In the meanwhile, Government strongly encourages businesses to report poor payment practice and instances of late payment in public sector contracts, including late payment through the supply chain, to the Mystery Shopper service in the Cabinet Office.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Cabinet Office is currently leading work with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to implement a package of measures for the future of social value and procurement, as set out in Government’s Civil Society Strategy. This includes training for government commercial staff to ensure that all major procurements in central government explicitly evaluate and report on their social value. Further information will be published in due course.</p><p> </p><p>This is an extension of the application of the Social Value Act across central government departments, rather than legislative changes to the Act itself.</p> more like this
