star this property answer text <p>HM Treasury published an Impact Assessment in September 2012 on the Public Service Pensions Bill, which later became the Public Service Pensions Act 2013. This Act links the Normal Pension Age for public sector workers (including prison officers) to the State Pension Age. This is important to ensure the Normal Pension Age for public service schemes remains in line with developments in longevity, ensuring the sustainability of the schemes and managing risks to the taxpayer.</p><p>There were extensive discussions between Ministers and with Trade Unions and others at this time.</p> more like this

My officials are in regular discussions with Capita’s leadership who have assured us that it remains committed to delivering its public sector contracts.</p><p>Responsibility for monitoring service delivery sits within individual contracting authorities. Since almost 700 public sector organisations across central government, local government and other public agencies and bodies use the PSN, it is not possible for Cabinet Office to report on the total cost to the public purse.</p><p>The National Audit Office 2016 “Protecting information across government” report reported that the project saved £406 million across government over the 4 years between 2011/12 and 2014/15.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>On the same day as the referenced press release, the Cabinet Office announced a consultation to gather views on whether it would be appropriate to exclude suppliers from major government procurements if they cannot demonstrate a fair, effective and responsible approach to payment in their supply chain management. This consultation closed on 5 June. We have been reviewing responses and will publish the outcome shortly.</p><p> </p><p>In the meanwhile, Government strongly encourages businesses to report poor payment practice and instances of late payment in public sector contracts, including late payment through the supply chain, to the Mystery Shopper service in the Cabinet Office.</p> more like this
