star this property answer text <p>Asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute can apply for free accommodation and cash support to cover their essential living needs whilst their cases are considered.</p><p>If they have an emergency need for accommodation they can ask to be put in initial accommodation whilst their support applications are being processed and the vast majority of such requests are processed on the same day. We aim to resolve Section 95 applications received from people in Initial Accommodation within 3 days and other applications from people staying in private accommodation within 10 days. All cases are considered on their own merits, in some cases applicants are asked to provide further information before a decision on eligibility can reached. Information on the average length of time between asylum support application and payment is not routinely collected and could only be provided by examination of individual case records, which would result in disproportionate cost.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The final reports of the four Boundary Commissions in the 2018 Boundary Review were submitted to the Government and laid before Parliament in September 2018.</p><p>The Government will continue to monitor closely the current legal proceedings in relation to the Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland’s final report.</p><p>As we set out in our manifesto, the Government will ensure we have updated and equal parliamentary boundaries, making sure every vote has equal value.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Since 2011, the Government has supported a series of business-led independent reviews, increasing participation of women on FTSE boards via progressive targets: 25% women (Davies Review); 33% (Hampton-Alexander Review) and, to date, 40% (FTSE Women Leaders Review, published 22<sup>nd</sup> February 2022).</p><p> </p><p>Women’s representation has grown from 9.5% FTSE board members in 2011, to 37.6% to the end of 2021. The UK is ranked second only to France, compared to other nations working to gender balance public listed companies’ boards. The Government continues to commit targets, but, given the successes of the voluntary approach, has no plans to introduce mandatory quotas.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Of the £100 million, £92.8 million is being distributed to the 75 local authorities participating in the programme from 2022/23 to 2024/25. Local authorities determine the specific interventions they spend their funding allocation on, in line with the programme guide and local area need. Local authorities are responsible for allocating funding to their family hubs. The remaining funding has been held centrally to deliver a series of national initiatives which will support local delivery.</p><p>A copy of the published funding methodology for the programme is attached; this sets out how each local authority received their funding allocation.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are working with the NSPCC to pilot a Modern Slavery Helpline as part of a wider communications and marketing campaign, to raise awareness of modern slavery. The NSPCC will be given funding of up to £50,000 for one year to host the helpline. We have engaged NSPCC by means of a formal Grant Agreement, not a Contract, which will be managed using standard Home Office grant terms and conditions in accordance with the principles of Managing Public Money. On this occasion, no other organisations were invited to submit delivery proposals.<br><br>The helpline will be established by the end of July 2014. We will work with a number of non-governmental organisations, prior to the launch of the helpline, to ensure that callers to the helpline have access to a range of organisations that can provide additional help, advice and support. <br><br>Our longer term requirements for a helpline will be considered as part of the National Referral Mechanism review, which will conclude later this year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

To support that transition, all Service leavers are entitled to a resettlement programme that allows them to capitalise on the highly marketable skills and experiences they take with them.</p><p> </p><p>Resettlement provision is available through the Career Transition Partnership, a highly successful collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and Right Management. The range of help available can include training grants, resettlement leave, transition workshops, career support, housing advice, financial briefs, and employment support.
