star this property answer text <p>DCMS has been engaged with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on apprenticeship reforms, in particular on the tourism industry and creative industries. The second phase of Apprenticeship Trailblazers includes Professional Chefing, and Hospitality and Tourism Supervisors and Managers. I also launched and co-chair a Tourism Industry Council with the Minister for Skills and Equalities, Nick Boles. The Council’s aim is to improve skills, qualifications and apprenticeships within the sector and will include engagement with the apprenticeship reform scheme.</p><p> </p><p>There are now more than 4,200 apprenticeships in the creative industries, plus more than 45,000 apprenticeships in ICT. The cinema industry, crafts and newspaper and broadcast media sectors are all taking part in the second phase of the Apprenticeship Trailblazers.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text DCMS policy on alcohol consumption on the premises is that, managers are expected to ensure that office parties do not cause disruption to the work of the office, and that drinking during working hours does not otherwise impact on the performance and reputation of the Department. In addition, all civil servants are expected to carry out standards of behaviour as set out in the Civil Service Code. star this property answer text <p>The GREAT Britain campaign is a marketing campaign designed to show the world that Britain is a great place to visit, study in, invest in and do business with. It forms part of a wider, international tactical campaign to attract visitors to Britain, and, as such, it has not taken any direct steps to promote visitor accommodation services or increase the affordability of holidays in the UK.</p><p> </p><p>It is not the role of government to promote visitor accommodation services because by doing so we would be in breach of EU State Aid regulations. The cost of holidays at different times of the year is also something for the commercial judgement of the industry.</p> more like this
