	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>Government is actively supporting good quality flexible working, of which home working can be part, and the provision of co-working spaces.</p><p>We have set up, with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Flexible Working Taskforce to promote wider understanding and implementation of inclusive flexible work and working practices. In January this year the Taskforce published a business case, supporting guidance and its members committed to support and promote the “Happy to Talk Flexible Working” campaign.</p><p>We have committed to consult on a new duty on employers to consider when a job can be done flexibly, and make that clear when advertising.</p><p>We have also committed to review the statutory right to request flexible working in 2020 and have commissioned some of the surveys to gather data for that work.</p><p>Through the Local Enterprise Partnership we promote economic growth and jobs in local areas. In order to deliver this objective, some LEPs have supported the creation of co-working spaces alongside advice and other support for business start-ups. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>We carried out an impact assessment in 2014 on the extension of the statutory right to request flexible working, estimating a total benefit (net present value) of £474.9 million. This figure incorporates monetised benefits relating to the extension of the right to request to all employees with 26 weeks continuous service and therefore does not take into account the flexible working among parents and carers that was already taking place prior to the extension.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently reviewing the 2014 extension of the right to request Flexible working to all eligible employees. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>The Department considers all aspects that may affect the rail and road network when assessing the changes of demand for the future.</p><p> </p><ol><li><p>The Department updated its rail forecasting guidance in 2016 to take into account different trip rates for people in different age groups and occupations. This was based on analysis of the National Travel Survey. The Department continues to review its forecasts, including analysing the impact of flexible working. The Departments’ guidance feeds into business cases for rail investments and franchise analysis. The guidance is called ‘WebTAG’ and is published on the Department’s website</p></li><li><p>The ‘Latest Evidence on Factors Impacting Road Traffic Growth’ review published by the Department in May 2018 included reviews of tele-commuting and the impact of e-commerce and social media on travel. This accounts for over 90% of employees.</p><p> </p><p>The Government would like there to be more opportunities for flexible working, which is why we will consult on creating a duty for employers to consider whether a job can be done flexibly, and to make that clear when advertising.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is also looking to work with employers on a voluntary basis. A taskforce to promote flexible working has been established. This is comprised of representatives from across Whitehall, from key organisations like Carers UK and Working Families, the TUC and key business groups. The taskforce is tackling key questions around flexible working which are key to improving the recruitment, retention and progression of key groups in the workforce.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to ensuring that the existing “right to request” legislation continues to have the desired impact. We anticipate being in a position to report on the Shared Parental Leave evaluation in 2019 and the Right to Request Flexible Working in 2020.</p><p>The Government has set out the largest upgrade to workers’ rights in a generation. Helping people to balance their work and home lives is vital in creating an inclusive economy where those with caring responsibilities can continue working. That is why in October we announced that we would consult on creating a duty for employers to consider whether a job can be done flexibly, and make that clear when advertising. The first 12 months of a refugee's resettlement costs are funded by central government using the Official Development Assistance budget. The year 1 funding is a per person tariff of £8,520. The Government has committed £129m to assist with local authority costs over years 2-5 of the scheme. This will be allocated on a tariff basis over four years. Local authorities will receive £12,000 per person overall for years 2-5; tapering from £5,000 in year 2, to £3,700 in year 3, to £2,300k in year 4 and £1,000k in year 5. There will also be an exceptional cases fund to assist the most vulnerable refugees.</p><p> </p><p>Local authorities participating in both Resettlement Programmes are responsible for securing accommodation for families prior to their arrival.
