	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/04/2020 answer text <p>Our approach to tackling COVID-19 has been driven by the latest scientific and medical advice, with flows of passengers reduced significantly by travel restrictions in the UK and overseas.</p><p>Any decisions in relation to the UK border and Covid-19 will be taken on the basis of scientific and medical advice. We need to keep our approach at the border, and all our measures, under active review but we will not hesitate to impose whatever restrictions in our power as are necessary.</p><p>On 17 March 2020, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advised against all non-essential international travel, and the Government also introduced unprecedented measures to manage and contain the spread of the virus.
