	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2019 answer text <p>The Civil Service do not gather information on individual medical conditions.</p><p>United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV), the UK’s centralised vetting provider, does not collate or report on specific medical conditions. This is due to vetting confidentiality. While medical conditions may be collected as part of vetting processes, these are recorded in narrative form. Reviewing the narrative data would require individual examination of many thousands of records. Similarly, it is not possible to collate data for withdrawals or suspensions citing medical factors, due to how this is recorded. Regardless, individuals are not denied clearance, or have clearances revoked, solely on the basis of possessing a particular medical condition. Building a model that respects privacy is essential if users are to place and maintain their trust in identity assurance.</p><p>PQ 8509 relates to verified user identities. ‘Success’ in the context of verified user identities is measured as the percentage of people with a verified identity who are then ‘matched’ with the departmental service they are attempting to access. The matching rates vary for each service depending on the data held and the matching needs of that service. For some services, for example Universal Credit, it is required that the user must match an existing record within the service.
