We ensure that claimants are given every opportunity to disclose information relevant to their claim before a decision is taken.</p><p>We do not record data on the length of time it takes to consider individual cases. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/06/2018 answer text <p>Data on the length of time it takes to consider individual asylum claims is not information that is published and could not be produced without a manual investigation of Home Office systems. <br>The Home Office has a Service Standard to make an initial asylum decision on straightforward claims within 182 days of the date of claim however we are aware of the number of older cases in the system. These are more complex cases which generally have barriers that prevents an initial asylum decision being made. In addition to this our current family reunion policy has welcomed over 29,000 individuals to the UK in the last 5 years. The UK continues to welcome people through the global UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), as well as through the Community Sponsorship and Mandate Resettlement Schemes and our refugee family reunion policy. They receive extensive training on considering asylum claims, which covers religious claims, and must follow published Home Office policy guidance.</p><p><br>We work closely with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for International Freedom of Religion or Belief, the Asylum Advocacy Group (AAG) and have engaged a range of faith groups to help us improve our approach to religious based claims. We value their support in helping us to improve policy guidance and training for caseworkers in this important and complex area.</p><p>We have an internal audit process which assesses the quality of decisions, interviews and the application of Home Office policy. We have Senior Case Worker assessments as well as independent auditors from Central Operations who audit asylum cases and provide quarterly reports.
