	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The Home Office has had meetings with a number of immigration law firms who <br>represent Tier 1 (Investor) clients in which these issues have been raised. <br>The firms consider that removing the requirement to top up investments, and <br>extending the list of qualifying investments, would attract more investors to <br>the UK and encourage investments which would lead to greater returns.<br><br>The Government is currently considering its response to the report on the Tier <br>1 (Investor) route published by the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) on 25 <br>February 2014, which made recommendations on these issues. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The average length of time between a deportation order being made on a foreign <br>national offender and their deportation in each year since 2010 is as follows: <br>143 days in 2010, 148 days in 2011, 174 days in 2012 and 187 days in 2013. <br><br>The increase in average time taken is driven mainly by serving more deportation <br>orders earlier in the process, sometimes up to 27 months before sentence end <br>date, to enable removal to take place as early as possible within the Early <br>Removal Scheme (ERS) period. The <br>Coalition Agreement committed this Government to reinstate them. This was because it <br>was found conditions there amounted to a breach of Article 3 of ECHR. There <br>then followed similar litigation around conditions in Italy, but we are still <br>able to effect transfers there.<br><br>NB: The figures quoted have been derived from management information and are <br>therefore provisional and subject to change.
