star this property answer text <p>In 2018 the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Government Equalities Office funded a £1.5m campaign to raise awareness of the Shared Parental Leave and Pay scheme amongst parents. This was followed by further communications activity, aimed at employers, in 2019. star this property answer text <p>Between February and April 2018, we ran a £1.5m paid for communications campaign to promote Shared Parental Leave and Pay to eligible parents. This was supported by the publication of revised tools and guidance which make it easier for parents to understand and access the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>We ran a further campaign between February and April 2019 to maintain the high levels of awareness that we achieved in 2018 and are planning further communications activity for 2019/20.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The review of provisions for parents of premature babies was an internal review undertaken by officials of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to help them provide advice to Ministers. Advice to Ministers is not routinely shared outside of Government departments.</p><p> </p><p>As indicated in my response to Question <a href="https://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-question/Commons/2019-06-13/264462/" target="_blank">264462</a>, the findings of this review will help to inform the public consultation on options for further support for parents of premature, sick and multiple babies, which we will launch before the end of the Summer.</p><p> </p><p>We look forward to working with interested parties during the consultation process.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Shared Parental Leave &amp; Pay scheme was introduced in 2015. This scheme gives eligible working parents more choice and flexibility around which of them cares for their child in the first year and when they do this.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently consulting on high-level options for how we can better balance the gender division of the parental leave and pay system. Responses to the consultation will be considered alongside our evaluation of the Shared Parental Leave &amp; Pay scheme which is already underway.</p> more like this
