	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2019 answer text <p>Advertising in the UK is regulated by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), the industry’s independent regulator, which enforces the Advertising Codes through a system of self-regulation and co-regulation with Ofcom. The Codes apply to all media, including broadcast and online. They incorporate all relevant legislation and set standards for accuracy and honesty to which advertisers must adhere, including specific conditions on advertising to children, causing offence and social responsibility.</p><p> </p><p>The ASA is recognised by the government, the courts and trading standards as the ‘established means’ for the enforcement of misleading advertising, and the Codes include rules designed to ensure that advertisers do not mislead consumers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2019 answer text <p>In the October 2018 Budget the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that up to £55 million additional funding would be made available for restoring historic high streets to boost retail and bring properties back into productive uses. This was part of the wider £675 million ‘Future High Streets Fund’. Additionally, there are also other grant schemes available through Historic England (HE). 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/02/2018 answer text <p>In 2016/17 the British Film Institute (BFI), as the Government’s lead agency for film, invested £57,000 in York and £172,800 in North Yorkshire to support a range of film-related activities and projects, including the BFI Neighbourhood Cinema Programme, the Yorkshire Film Archive, and business support through the BFI Vision Awards. In addition, the BFI has worked extensively with Screen Yorkshire and its partners to develop the area as a creative cluster with seed funding totalling £254,000. Disney Cruises, with whom VisitBritain have a partnership, will also stop at Plymouth on the way from Southampton, Hampshire to Boston, Massachusetts. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/05/2019 answer text <p>DCMS directly supports 15 museums and galleries, comprising 37 sites across the country, with grant-in-aid funding. The Ministry of Defence supports three service museums with grant-in-aid. In addition to this, there are around 2500 museums in England, 1,322 of which are accredited, which do not receive grant-in-aid but are supported by government by at least one of 16 different sources of public funding worth over £800 million per year, as outlined in the Mendoza Review: an independent review of museums in England published in November 2017. This includes the Arts Council England, an arm’s-length body of the department, which is the development agency for museums in England and supports museums in several ways including through its National Portfolio programme.
