The Department does not make estimates of aerospace exports arising as a result of the Farnborough Airshow. However, given the UK’s position as a leading supplier to the world’s aerospace industry, our industry is likely to be a major beneficiary of many of the new orders announced at the Show.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">Recent data from the Aerospace Defence and Security trade association show aerospace exports grew by 12% in 2013 to £25 billion.</ins></p><p><br /><del class="ministerial">There has been significant interest in UK Export Finance’s (UKEF) Direct Lending Facility (DLF) since its enhancements were announced in the Budget. Since it was relaunched on 30 June 2014, the pipeline of potential export contracts has developed and now involves 28 UK-based exporters of varying size and export experience. As it stands, the pipeline has 35 potential export contracts that range from £3m to over £350m. Domestic and non-domestic consumers will have near-real time information on their energy consumption to help them control their energy use, and avoid wasting energy and money. Smart metering can transform the prepay experience. Topping up a smart meter in prepay mode should become as easy as topping up a mobile phone. New products and services will be supported in a vibrant, competitive, more efficient market in energy and energy management.</p><p>Suppliers will have access to accurate data for billing and to improve their customer service. They will also be able to reduce costs, for example by reducing call centre traffic, removing the need for a site visit to read meters and better manage debt.</p><p>Energy networks will have better information upon which to manage and plan their activities and smart meters enable smart grids which support sustainable energy supply.</p><p>Energy suppliers will be responsible for purchasing and installing smart meters. Energy suppliers and other energy industry participants, such as network operators, will also incur costs as part of upgrades to their systems and for Data and Communications Company services, so that they are able to take full advantage of smart metering.</p><p>As is the case with traditional meters, the Government expects that both costs and cost savings as a result of smart metering will be passed to consumers by competing energy suppliers through energy bills. The allowance is available for all of Great Britain’s electricity Transmission Owners to address the impact of existing lines in these areas. To participate in the scheme Transmission Owners are required to develop and submit a policy to Ofgem for approval. National Grid has set out a policy and process for deciding how to allocate funding in its licence area of England and Wales. National Grid’s VIP policy and process have both been approved by Ofgem following consultation with stakeholders. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2014 answer text <p>There is no cap in the contract for difference for Hinkley Point C on the operator’s liability for decommissioning costs.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s policy is that operators of new nuclear power stations must have arrangements in place to meet the full costs of decommissioning and their full share of waste management and disposal costs. This policy is being implemented through a framework created by the Energy Act 2008.
