unstar this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence policy is that tyres fitted to vehicles are inspected at regular intervals in line with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency's Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) inspection manual 2018 edition. This takes into account the requirements in paragraph 5.2 of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency's Guide to Maintaining Road Worthiness of Commercial Goods and Passenger Carrying Vehicles, published in November 2018.</p> more like this

However, when tyres are attached to heavy goods vehicles, it is possible that those over 10 years old could be exported, as all ex-MOD vehicles are sold as seen. There is currently no loss of income associated with such vehicle sales.</p> more like this

No estimate of the cost of replacing tyres that are 10 or more years old has been made. All vehicles are maintained and serviced regularly, at which time tyres are replaced if they do not meet minimum legal and safety standards.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The department has not conducted an assessment of adult literacy levels within the past 5 years.</p><p>We participate in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Survey of Adult Skills to assess our performance in literacy, which was last conducted in England and 24 other countries in 2011-12. Findings from the survey can be found at: <a href="http://www.oecd.org/skills/" target="_blank">http://www.oecd.org/skills/</a>.</p><p>The next Survey of Adult Skills will take place in 2021/22, with results available in 2023.</p> more like this

P&amp;O have confirmed that another vessel, the Mistral, that operated the Liverpool-Dublin route while the MV European Endeavour was undergoing a refit will continue to operate the route after the sale of the MV European Endeavor.</p><p> </p><p>P&amp;O have made a commercial decision to replace a passenger ro-ro ferry with a ro-ro cargo vessel to meet the changing demands of the freight market and particularly a rising demand for unaccompanied freight. Seafarers are required to meet the minimum standards of training as set out in the STCW Convention and no assessment is proposed to be made on the standards of seafarers operating in the Irish Sea.</p><p> </p><p>The choice of which crewing agency to employ seafarers from is a commercial decision and a matter of choice for any shipping company to make for itself. The Government does not hold data relating to which crewing agencies shipping companies use.</p><p> </p><p>There have been no recent meetings with P&amp;O where employment was discussed.</p>
