However, latest figures from the Home Office for all types of terrorism cases (which includes Foreign Terrorist Fighters) show that last year 84 people were tried following charges brought by the CPS for terrorism-related offences, resulting in 76 convictions. The remaining 8 were found not guilty.</p><p> </p> more like this

It would be inappropriate for me to comment on the detail of those discussions.</p><p> </p><p>The question of the deadline for the EU Settlement Scheme is a matter for the Home Secretary, but I can assure the Member for Edinburgh North and Leith that the Home Office will publish guidance on what will constitue ‘reasonable grounds’ for missing the deadline for the EU Settlement Scheme.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Section 72 of the Highways Act 1835 prohibits a number of specified activities on a highway including riding a pedal cycle on a footpath and Section 29 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 creates offences of careless or inconsiderate cycling, which may include riding on pavements. All such offences are initially prosecuted by the police. Only those cases where the offence is contested are referred to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Records held by the CPS identify the number of contested offences in which a prosecution commenced and reached a first hearing in magistrates’ courts, rather than the number of successful prosecutions.</p><p>During the most recently available year the number of these offences was as follows:</p><table><tbody><tr><td><p>-</p></td><td><p><strong>2016-2017</strong></p></td></tr><tr><td><p>Highways Act 1835 s 72</p></td><td><p>48</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 s 29</p></td><td><p>35</p></td></tr><tr><td><p>Data Source: CPS Case Management Information System</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p>There is no indication of the number of individual defendants prosecuted for these offences or the final outcome of the prosecution proceeding (including whether the prosecution was successful) or if the charged offence was the substantive charge at the time of finalisation.</p>

star this property answer text <p>Being cyber secure and protecting personal data underpins everything we do in the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). In accordance with the Government Cyber Security Strategy, we are working to ensure that our critical functions will be significantly hardened to cyber-attack by<br>2025, with all government organisations across the whole public sector being resilient to known vulnerabilities and attack methods no later than 2030.</p><p>The Crown Prosecution Service provide digital services to the Attorney General’s Office which includes responsibility for AGO cybersecurity and protecting personal data.</p><p>The AGO does not have an external public facing internet site other than gov.uk and Cabinet Office manage digital development.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Sussex Police have sought early investigative advice from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), South East Area, in respect of possible criminal offences. The CPS has received some documentation and had a meeting with the officer in charge of the investigation in February 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The police investigation is still ongoing and CPS will only be in a position to provide advice regarding charging or otherwise once all the papers are received.</p><p> </p> more like this
