The Department for Exiting the European Union is undertaking detailed work with departments, including the Scotland Office, to prepare for the upcoming negotiations by understanding the risks and opportunities of leaving the EU and coordinating planning.</p><p> </p><p>Staff across the Scotland Office, including those employed before and since 24 June 2016, provide advice to Ministers on EU Exit and exit-related issues. These are available on:</p><p>https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/one-in-two-out-statement-of-new-regulation</p><p> </p><p>For the 2015-17 Parliament, the Government will shortly publish its final report on the savings to business delivered during that Parliament.</p><p> </p><p>For the current Parliament, the Government is committed to maintaining a proportionate approach to regulation to enable business growth while maintaining public protections. unstar this property answer text <p>The European Union (Withdrawal) Bill will retain EU law as it applies in the UK on exit day. We expect between 800 and 1000 statutory instruments will be required across the UK Government to correct this retained EU law to ensure the statute book functions appropriately outside the EU. The Bill will also give the devolved administrations powers to make similar corrections in devolved areas. All Departments are engaged in this process. Once we leave the EU, we will make our own laws. As we leave the EU, the Government’s EU exit legislative programme is designed to cater for the full range of negotiated and non-negotiated outcomes.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Negotiations on the proposed General Data Protection Regulation are still continuing and our negotiating position has taken into account the likely impact on Government Departments, NDPBs and agencies. Once the outcome of trilogue negotiations between the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament and the Commission are complete, and the Regulation has been adopted, the liabilities will be further assessed. There will then follow a maximum implementation period of two years. Between now and then, Government departments who will be affected by the Regulation are closely involved in work led by the Department for Culture, Media &amp; Sport to consider the implications of the text as it develops through the negotiating process.</p><br /> more like this
