unstar this property answer text <p>The HMG guarantee will cover the payment of awards to UK applicants for all successful Erasmus+ bids submitted before the end of 2020 (including those from sports organisations). Successful bids are those that are approved directly by the Commission or by the UK National Agency and ratified by the Commission. We have recently published updated guidance on GOV.UK that helps beneficiaries take the first steps towards making an application for the guarantee.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>In 2016 there were 363,064 international visits to Nottinghamshire, up 29% on the previous year. These visitors spent £128 million in Nottinghamshire, up 23% on the previous year.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland are responsible for promoting the UK as a tourist destination, through a range of different initiatives and campaigns. VisitBritain receive annual grant-in-aid totalling £19.4m from DCMS and VisitEngland receive £7m.</p><p> </p><p>The Discover England Fund, administered by VisitEngland, has invested in the development of tourism product across the East Midlands area. Projects such as The Explorer’s Road, the US Connections project and the England’s Literary Greats have all received funding.</p><p> </p><p>Information from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government indicate that Local Authorities spent £5.2m on tourism in 2016-17. <strong> </strong></p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Society lotteries are gambling products with the primary purpose of raising money for good causes. They operate under a legal framework with limits on the size of individual draws, the annual receipts and the size of the prize on offer. All large society lotteries are regulated as gambling products, and as such are regulated by the Gambling Commission. They are permitted by Government, which recognises the benefits they bring to society throughout the country, and are seen as an important fundraising tool.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The minimum bid to the Tampon Tax Fund was set at £1 million in December 2017, with the launch of the 2018-2019 round of funding to achieve a more cohesive and strategic approach to addressing the issues facing vulnerable and excluded women across the UK.</p><p> </p><p>To ensure that smaller organisations were not disadvantaged by this change we also encouraged applications from organisations whose projects included making onward grants. In March 2018, we awarded over £5 million to organisations making onward grants and as a result 498 grants have been made to small and medium sized charities.</p> more like this

The Fundraising Regulator issued notices to 59 charities that had failed to deal with Fundraising Preference Service suppression requests. These charities have been referred to the Information Commissioner’s Office because of a potential data law breach.</p> more like this
