unstar this property answer text <p>The HMG guarantee will cover the payment of awards to UK applicants for all successful Erasmus+ bids submitted before the end of 2020 (including those from sports organisations). Successful bids are those that are approved directly by the Commission or by the UK National Agency and ratified by the Commission. We have recently published updated guidance on GOV.UK that helps beneficiaries take the first steps towards making an application for the guarantee.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>In 2016 there were 363,064 international visits to Nottinghamshire, up 29% on the previous year. These visitors spent £128 million in Nottinghamshire, up 23% on the previous year.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland are responsible for promoting the UK as a tourist destination, through a range of different initiatives and campaigns. VisitBritain receive annual grant-in-aid totalling £19.4m from DCMS and VisitEngland receive £7m.</p><p> </p><p>The Discover England Fund, administered by VisitEngland, has invested in the development of tourism product across the East Midlands area. Projects such as The Explorer’s Road, the US Connections project and the England’s Literary Greats have all received funding.</p><p> </p><p>Information from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government indicate that Local Authorities spent £5.2m on tourism in 2016-17. <strong> </strong></p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The minimum bid to the Tampon Tax Fund was set at £1 million in December 2017, with the launch of the 2018-2019 round of funding to achieve a more cohesive and strategic approach to addressing the issues facing vulnerable and excluded women across the UK.</p><p> </p><p>To ensure that smaller organisations were not disadvantaged by this change we also encouraged applications from organisations whose projects included making onward grants. In March 2018, we awarded over £5 million to organisations making onward grants and as a result 498 grants have been made to small and medium sized charities.</p> more like this

A high proportion of charities are based in cities and towns, or have their main office in London, but deliver activity and services to a much wider area. Figures often don’t reflect the spread of activity and the overall offer of services and projects funded by The National Lottery Community Fund within a particular area. It included a range of new policies as well as threading consideration of loneliness through a wide range of government’s work , such as expanding social prescribing and public messaging on loneliness.</p><p> </p><p>Alongside the policy commitments made in the strategy, the Building Connections Fund launched in 2018 totalled £11.5million, made up of government, Big Lottery Fund and Co-op Foundation funding. unstar this property answer text <p>In the 2018-19 round of Tampon Tax Funding, UK Community Foundations were awarded £3.4 million from the Tampon Tax Fund to run an onward grants programme across the UK, of which £219,380 has been allocated to administration. The Women’s Aid Federation of England were awarded £1,509,850 for a project addressing domestic abuse, of which £609,040 was designated for onward grants. The cost of administering these grants has not been separated from the general costs of running their programme of activities.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The dormant assets scheme has already distributed over £600m for the benefit of good causes. The Dormant Assets Commission, which reported on the feasibility of expanding the scheme in 2017, estimated that there may be up to £2bn of additional dormant assets that could be transferred into the scheme. This could significantly increase the quantity of funds available for good causes across the country.</p><p> </p><p>Building on the work of the Commission, and supported by HMT and DCMS, four senior industry leaders published a blueprint in April 2019 for broadening the scheme to include assets from the insurance and pensions, investment and wealth management, and securities sectors. Quantifying dormancy was not within the scope of this work.</p> more like this
