We understand that these claimants may face extra challenges in their lives. Universal Credit is designed to target resources at those that need them most and to provide support for people who cannot work or need help moving towards the labour market.</p><p>We recognise the importance of understanding how a mental health condition impacts someone’s ability to prepare for and look for work. That is why we have developed a range of specialised mental health training for work coaches and increased the number of Disability Employment Advisers who can provide additional support where needed. Furthermore, we have a number of Community Partners recruited specifically for their expertise in mental health issues, that can provide advice that is often based on lived experience.</p><p>In the case of homeless claimants, it is our priority to ensure that people experiencing homelessness get the appropriate support they need to improve their lives and move into work. For example, we are able to put job-seeking requirements on hold temporarily whilst claimants find accommodation or stabilise their housing situation, as well as priority access to the Work and Health Programme.</p><p>We are supporting the manifesto commitment to halve rough sleeping by 2022 and eradicate it altogether by 2027 through the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Reduction Taskforce, and commitments set out in the recent Rough Sleeping Strategy. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2022 answer text <p>The National Health Service will increase bed capacity by the equivalent of at least 7,000 general and acute beds to improve patient flows through hospitals and reduce waiting times. A £500 million Adult Social Care Discharge Fund has been established to reduce delayed discharge and we have allocated an additional £150 million to ambulance services to increase response times and £20 million to upgrade the ambulance fleet.</p><p>The target to eliminate waiting times of two years or more for elective procedures was met in July 2022 and we aim to eliminate waiting time of eighteen months or more by April 2023. This will be achieved through increasing capacity, seeking alternate capacity in other trusts or the independent sector and engaging with patients to understand choices made regarding their care.</p><p>We have set an expectation that patients who need an appointment with a general practitioner practice within two weeks should receive one and patients with urgent needs should be seen on the same day. ‘Our plan for patients’ includes measures to assist patients to book general practice appointments and diversify general practice teams to deliver over a million additional appointments. The NHS Long Term Plan commits a further £2.3 billion a year to expand mental health services by 2023/24 and enable an additional two million people to be treated by NHS mental health services. Non-tariff measures could result in limited impacts. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/07/2019 answer text <p>The Serious Violence Strategy, published in April last year, sets out our assessment of the risk and protective factors which impact on an individual’s likelihood of becoming involved in serious violence as a victim or perpetrator. The impact of adverse childhood experiences are highlighted within this context. The Strategy stresses the importance of early intervention to tackle the root causes of serious violence and provide young people with the skills and resilience to lead productive lives free from violence. We are investing in early intervention through the £22 million Early Intervention Youth Fund and the longer term £200 million Youth Endowment Fund, to ensure those most at risk are given the opportunity to turn away from crime and violence and lead positive lives.</p><p>Through the Police Transformation Fund, we have also awarded £6.87m to South Wales Police for three years from 2017/18 onwards to deliver the Early Action Together (EAT) project with all four police forces in Wales and a range of partners. The police are working in collaboration with Public Health Wales to develop and test a new approach to policing, which prevents and mitigates Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
