We understand that the need to make sure payments are correct as incorrect payments will have implications for benefit claimants.</p><p>We ensure the accuracy and quality of payments through internal assurance processes. This enables the Department to identify and correct error and to focus on those points in the customer journey where there is a risk of error occurring.</p><p>When a benefit is reviewed the consequential impacts on other benefits are also reviewed.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As outlined in the Written Statement of 15<sup>th</sup> June 2018 (<a href="https://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-statement/Commons/2018-06-15/HCWS767/" target="_blank">HCWS767</a>), the department will be conducting an administrative exercise to identify claimants who may be affected by the Upper Tribunal judgment in LB.</p><p> </p><p>My Department are now working at pace and taking all steps necessary for this administrative exercise to take place later in the year.</p><p> </p><p>This administrative exercise to identify claimants who may be affected by the judgment will include all those who were in receipt of PIP or received a PIP decision during the period between the date of the LB judgment (28 November 2016) and the date of the March 2017 amendments (16 March 2017). It will include claimants currently assessed as needing support to manage medication or monitor a health condition.</p> more like this
