	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/05/2019 answer text <p>This is a devolved matter and the information provided therefore relates to England only.</p><p> </p><p>In England, we are working with the commercial and technical sectors through a business led Property Flood Resilience Roundtable, to increase the uptake of flood resilience approaches (recoverability and resistance), both by homes and businesses, in areas at risk of flooding.</p><p> </p><p>Flood Re was established in 2016 to help improve the affordability and availability of Flood Insurance for homes at high risk of flooding across the whole of the UK (including Wales). Flood Re is required to take action to help the flood insurance market transition to one that is risk reflective by 2039. This includes exploring ways in which Flood Re can help improve the uptake of flood resilience measures in homes at risk of flooding.</p><p> </p><p>Our investment programme will better protect at least 300,000 homes from the risk of all flooding and coastal erosion by 2020/21. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government currently regulates the use of generators with a thermal input of over 1 megawatt in order to minimise the negative impact on air quality, in particular nitrogen oxide emissions.</p><p> </p><p>The Clean Air Strategy, published earlier this year, recognises the scope for potentially tighter controls in the future, both in terms of size of generator and level of emissions. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/05/2019 answer text <p>The Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations already require all retailers to ensure that all their packaging does not exceed what is needed to make sure the products are safe, hygienic and acceptable for both the packed product and for the consumer. As part of the Resources and Waste Strategy, we have committed to review the effectiveness of these regulations by the end of next year.</p><p> </p><p>We are also consulting on reforms to the way we manage packaging waste. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government is concerned that, in the absence of agreed standards, claims about the biodegradability of plastic based products cannot be verified leading to potential confusion in the market place, possible increased levels of consumption and potential environmental harm at the point of disposal.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the Bioeconomy Strategy published on 5 December 2018, the Government committed to work with UK Research and Innovation and industry to seek evidence on the demand, benefits and implications (for example the impact on recycling streams) of a standard for bio based and biodegradable plastics that would include carrier bags.
